He has got to be one of the worst big game coaches ever.
I mean with the talent that team has they should have been to several AFC championship games instead...they continue to throw up on themselves in big games and in big spots. Your team reflects your coach and Lewis should have been gone years ago. I don't know how their fan base can tolerate that?????

Hey needsome, yeah cincy is good at beating up bad teams but they are not a winning team, they cannot win on the road so yes Lewis should be fired because it's the same chit every year

If it was say, 1, or 10 games i think we could all live with this. But this is about the 20th big stage, primetime game in a row they've laid a complete egg and gotten blown out in. Make no mistake, the bengals are far and away more talented than this patriot outfit... but their coach is a re tard.

Where does it say I was on Cincinnati. I was on the Pats getting 3 at Gillette after a humiliating loss was a gift IMHO. I am a big Pats fan...had season tickets for 10 years but had to give them up 2 years ago because it was getting too expensive with kids I am sending to college.
The point is that Marvin Lewis doesn't produce. They have the talent to be a top team in the AFC and have for about the last 3 years. They cannot get it done in big games. Look at their playoff exits the last 3 years. 1 and done I believe.
Tonight's game was a perfect example. The Patriots had a short week to prepare and the Bengals coaching staff had a full 2 weeks to prepare for the Patriots as they were on the bye last week. So...you look at this game and the preperation and the Bengals clearly were not prepared at the start of this game.
The point of this thread was to point out I have no idea how he can still be coaching for the Bengals with his playoff history. I guess time will tell if this season turns out any different.

I don't think there was a team that would have beat the pats last night The pats showed how you bounce back after taking a beating in k city now will see what the bengals do after this beating....don't blame the coaching staff ...Is just one game I believe they will bounce back next week ....for what it's worth Dalton played a good game normally he is the one choking in these games if this game was played at 1 o'clock they would lost the same way they did last night

That sentence right there is why I will never back Bengals in a big spot again. I wanted to quit sports gaming when I saw how Cincy responded to N.E's intensity....and I ended up the week up 9 units. Demoralizing backing a gutless team.

This is an excellent post, what you saw tonight of Marvin Lewis is why he should be fired asap, because they will just be average with him but with all that talent they could be great!
2 weeks to prepare and they were so lost on D it was not even funny... They had no idea what to run, they played soft coverage so all of the pats wrs had 10 yards space and that's why everything underneath was wide open and tommy terrific took exactly what the defense was giving him, what will happen if this team makes the playoffs? All of a sudden Lewis gets his chit together?? Doesn't work like that, different story if they came in prepared and lost but the way they lost reflects very poorly on the coach

It wasn't about mistakes, it was about being blasé and ill prepared and that's on the coaching staff. They were blew away before they knew what hit 'em.
That was also a big statement game for the Bungles and well, they reverted to Bungle stereotype.
There was no way that team was prepared last night, they had no clue what was going on.

Hey...If you;re happy with Wildcard and Division titles...if that's what floats your boat...you should be enamored to have Marvin as your coach.
As far as fumbles and miscues...that in large part goes back to focus which in large pa'rt goes back to coaching. On many teams...if you fumble you take a seat...maybe for several games. Getting the ball pulled out by small DB's should happen very rarely if you preach strong fundamentals.

Give me a highly motivated average bunch over a demotivated super talented bunch any day of the week. I learned that in my business..I doubt the NFL is any different.

I thought this was a proper time to recycle this thread.
After mistaking away their chance to win the AFC North last week and host a home playoff game...the Bungles come out with another very pedestrian effort today. Lewis coached not to lose again and while they hung in for a while...the lack of any innovative offensive scheme will again send them to the golf course.
If Lewis again survives this...I will roll over like a bear after getting a full belly before hibernation.
But with the Cincy organization...maybe he will get a 4 year extension. Lewis is only behind Jim Mora as most games coached without a playoff win.
