Horrible year this year during the regular season, like many others. Favorites crushing it every week hurt and I am in the hole from my Jets futures. Full disclosure, I have some interesting futures that will allow me to hedge and middle some games, I will try to list them below. This week, I really like the Pittsburgh Steelers getting 10 points and that will be my best bet.
Playoff Futures:
Chiefs vs Lions exact matchup - 6.5/1 - 10 units to win 65 units
Chiefs to win SB - 3.75/1 - 10 units to win 37.5 units
Eagles to defeat Chiefs - 59/1 - 1.5 units to win 90 units
Eagles to win the NFC - 5/1 - 5 units to win 25 units
Steelers to win SB - 42/1 - 2 units to win 84 units
Steelers to win SB - 23/1 - 1.7 units to win 39 units
Steelers to win SB - 21/1 - 2.5 units to win 52.5 units
Texans to defeat Eagles - 115/1 - 1 unit to win 115 units
Texans to win SB - 20/1 - 3.5 units to win 70 units
Exact matchup - Bills vs Lions - 7/1 - 3 units to win 21 units
As you can see, the best, most likely scenario for me would be a Chiefs vs Lions SB but the unpredictability of this year makes the post season a complete toss up. If the Chiefs play the lions, it would be great for me and the Chiefs winning would just be a little bit sweeter from a financial standpoint but I think that I would vomit and honestly would rather take the L to see Dan Campbell and the Lions win it all. Hopefully their defense can get healthy so that their offense wont have to worry about putting up 40+ points on each team in order to advance. Having home field in Detroit and KC will be huge for both teams IMO. I really need the Bills and Ravens to lose, and frankly I can see it happening...
The Bills have had the worst defense the past 5 weeks. Josh will have to put it all on his shoulders and that may be too much to ask for again and again. As for the Ravens, Lamar is playing great again but I really think they drew the worst possible matchup in round one. I would love nothing more than to see Tomlin, as a dog, come into Balt and beat the Ravens. The line suggests otherwise but the defense is healthy and that Pitt D can force turnovers and keep games ugly and close.
I see the Bills, Ravens, Eagles all on upset alert this week...
