Interesting stat about the Niners

I heard on the Radio that they are 14-0 ats when running the ball 30 or more times again the last two years and 21-4 overall under Shanahan. Shanahan himself is aware of his team’s success when they run the ball. In October he said:

Usually when you run the ball over 30 times, I think you do win. I think we’re ... I want to say we’re like 11-0, I think, when we’ve done that,” Shanahan said. “I know someone can get the stats, but I think we’re undefeated when we’ve done that. Whenever we’ve had less than 20, I don’t know if we’ve won or our record’s like 5-12 or something like that.”

The Bills run defense is ranked 25th this year.

Nonetheless, Mullins is too much of a wildcard for me and so I won’t be betting this game.

Bills defense has had injuries all year. They’re finally fully healthy. The defense has turned a corner since week 7. May get Milano back this week to take place of the defensive player of the week AJ Klein, very deep and healthy defense right now that was top 3 the last two years.

 Good to know. So if you only looked at their run defense after week 7, where do they rank?

Personally, I think Shanahan's run schemes are the best in the nfl. Better than even the Ravens who rely on the qb's legs.

Kyle Juszczyk is a throw back blocker, but super versatile at the same time.

There's nothing better than controlling the clock in football, while beating up on a defense.

Interesting to see if Buffalo throws all game, and if SF runs all game. There will be the argument of "passing is more efficient" vs "running/control clock"

One example of where not attempting to run the ball went bad, was the Buccaneers 3-38 loss vs the Saints. Had 5 attempts, one of which was a kneel down.

I'm looking forward to this game in SF. Lean Niners. Probably won't bet it though.

This is a logical fallacy. Shanahan has great running schemes, but what's the average record in the NFL when teams run the ball that much? And how many attempts are because they are already winning? Why don't teams run the ball every play if they are 21-4 when running that much?

 I don’t know if you can call it that. You have to be able to run it well to run that much. And you have to have an advantage in the trenches. More often than not, those things probably equal victory. The point is if the Bills can’t stop the run game, even if they themselves play well on offense and special teams, then they are in big trouble and will likely not win or cover, because that’s how devastating the Niner running game has been.

Hard for me to back the Niners or fade them these days because of injuries at key positions. You never know what you’ll get. But I enjoy watching them.

Having said that, I am hearing rumblings of Kittle eventually returning, and maybe Jimmy G. If they win the next two, and have a legit shot at making the playoffs, this team can be very dangerous. 

what do yall think about the line movement from open until now//.. i believe it opened at Buff-2.5 and now at Sf-1.. oh i jus checked my book again now its at a PK currently at the time of this post... crazy line movement in this one. SFran is that type of team at home that can kind of beat any1 and on paper it seems like they are just a wash this season but that is not that case as the 49ers r tryna make a lil comeback playoff push without alot of there superstars uno...East team going west blah blah but MNF type game extra day i throw that part out the window uno...but idk sorry longer post then i thought but thats my lil 2 cents there.. im leaning bills as of now tho... yes i text fast not always proper english. text is the short form of english in a quiker efficient matter for those typo ppl lol. thats enough lol cya soon

Love this game being moved to Arizona ..The fast track will benefit the BILLS offense ...

Buffalo is the heathiest they've been on defense and the O line since week 1 .

The run defense has been much better over the last 5 games....

49ers appear be way overvalued after beating the RAMS ..Had they lost I think the BILLS would be -4 or more....

I understand how you anyone could make a case for the 49ers , but do you really want to back Nick Mullens over JOSH Allen ??

Dont underestimate the shady NFL helping the BILLS if neccessary,  as they will be on national TV the next 4 weeks .

Like Sfran,,buff defense gives up 28-30 pppg on the road. will be a tough game..Sf in the end.

Exacty, most all so-called experts do not understand how the game works. Every single team in the league bar-none,  run more often in the 2cd half when they have the lead and pass more often when they trail. And for every single team,  the larger the lead the more often they run, and they larger they trail the more often they pass.

Therefore running does not lead to winning, winning leads to running more often. If the 9ers trail by 10 points or more in 2cd half do you think they'll be running more often or passing more often ? Therefore because they will be passing more often how could they get to 30 run plays ???
