Just like the Jets upset, for the occasion & historic importance, it ranks right up there, but in terms of the relative & comparative strengths of the teams, no way. The Appy St & Chaminade upsets were far bigger mismatches. While the Pats may have had the best O of all-time or at least most productive, their D was suspect & every team they played in the 2nd half of the season that could get good pressure on Brady & move the ball some (Philly, Balt, NYG & even the Jets - lol) gave 'em big-time trouble & Philly and Balt probably should've won. Probably shouldn't have been that much of a shocker (other than the low scoring) cause the Giants strengths were exactly what was needed most to have a good chance of beatin NE - best pass rush in the league, strong O & D line & a balanced offense capable of holding onto the ball for awhile & puttin up some points. Don't think anyone else coulda beat 'em in that spot, but NY had the perfect tools to do it & Eli came thru big-time - his only INT should have been a completion.
A little bit of the same with the Jets upset over the Colts. They had a far better team than the media & most everyone else gave 'em credit for just because they played in the supposedly far inferior AFL. Anyone who had followed 'em & knew football knew how good they were & wasn't that surprised.
Gotta tip your hats to the Giants though - a great game & they did everything they had to to close it out. Still think the Pats would win 7 outa 10, but they definitely earned it & were the best team last Sunday. Thought the whole 2 wks the Giants were the play, but overthought myself into losing a ton of $$ in the end. Would've liked to see the perfect season, but had to like seein Eli/Coughlin come thru after all the shit they've taken & the Giants takin it from 'em, not just backin in in some way.

this is the greatest upset...period... because no team as '''ever''' gone 18-O and loss the big one...coming back in a game by a million points will never reverse that fact.. only one team as felt that type of loss.....the patriots...
