I've developed a system using 10 years of back data from over 2500 NFL games that I am going to start using regardless of how counterintuitive the picks look. It has achieved 57 percent vs. the spead using all games over those 10 years and in 10 mock trials of the Westgate SuperContest, it was over 60% in 4 of those years.
I've been reluctant to roll it out, but now I'm ready after having repeatedly gone against it in the SuperContest because the picks looked so bizarre, but it has worked to the tune of about 67% this year, and if I have followed it I would be in 35th place in the contest. So no more shying away from it.
As a start, this system has the Jags as my best pick this week (-3) against the Titans. Let's see if I can get it right on my first public post of it. I will be posting my 5 picks for each of the last 7 weeks in the Super Contest for those who would like to climb on board and finish strong. You cannot argue with 57% over 10 years. It is unbelievalbe actually .. but for one reason or another I was unable to trust it as it spit out picks like Detroit over GB last weekend, and Jax over Miami early in the season. No more trust issues. Jump on board and prosper. Start with the Jags -3 Thursday night :-)

Both team are pretty much equal at this point just giving the -3 points for home field advantage to the Jags. Mariota is looking for his 1st Prime time cherry to get popped coming off of injury. Bortles throws a lot of INTs and JAX are a banged up team. A very healthy team with no significant injuries is what is going to keep the Titans to keep up with the Jags, if not an outright upset.
On the other side with TEN +3, TEN ML

I live in Jax and watch the Jags every week obviously. This is a huge game but the secondary of Jacksonville sucks. Mariotta will be looking to make a statement. Jacksonville doesn't know how to cover a tight end either. As an above poster mentioned. Bortles throws way too many picks. Titans 27-20

Can't see Jags losing here with playoff hopes on the line. I haven't been impressed with Mariotta this season. He hasn't been horrible really, I just think he doesn't look ready. This is a bigger game for the Jacksonville organization.
Did you just say playoff hope? You're talking about the jags? Jags haven't been a playoff mention since mark brunell

Whew, what a game! I got fortunate with that 4th quarter turnover, but I'll take it. It could have gone either way, or pushed, but I'm excited that my new system at least starts out on the right foot with a big win. It is now 68% for the year, and 1-0 officially in the Supercontest with 34 games to go.
Ride along if you dare!

Thanks Doc and Pfotie . It was an insane game, and thankfully the system prevailed. I'm done trying to outguess this thing I built. It really does work if I just do the number and get the hell out of the way:-) ... onward, and good luck to all this weekend
