I just read both articles from the links posted here... and Yes... something is definitely fishy about this selection for Head Official at this upcoming Super Bowl.
I can only hope that this does NOT have an impact on what could be one of the more entertaining Super Bowl games that we will have seen.
I guess that next... We will have the homeless man with the "Voice of God" doing the play-by-play calls from the booth... "Just Because.."

Fair point, got 2 things to say: -Rigged the game for the Steelers. Bigger market. 9ers, bigger market, so it favors the Niners. -Bettis retired but that was AFTER the Super Bowl win. He's not like Lewis, who everybody knows is retiring.
My guess is if the league is rigging the game, which is possible IMO, they'll do it for the 9ers. Because it's the bigger market, younger players so they can turn them into a cash cow/a legendary team. Once Ray is done, he's no longer marketable, so no use rigging the game for Ray.
THe more I look at this game, the more I like the Niners. Still a long ways to go on my decision tho.

Seems to me if they're going to rig a game, they'll "hand pick" the referees. Which, they did. Will they rig it? We'll see.
We all know the NBA rigged the sh!t outta games, and still does. The Commisioner Stern just "happens" to take his precious time out to hand select the referees in the playoffs.

correction: we all should know... Stern doesn't even try to be subtle about it... just hands the friggin trophy to the team he thinks helps his league the most, every friggin year... so ridiculous!
if anybody has NOT seen the video showing how Stern rigged the draft lottery the year Ewing went to the Knicks... it is a MUST SEE for any and every person calling them a basketball fan... one of the most amazing rig jobs you'll ever see, and it is caught red-handed on tape...
it blows my friggin mind that David Stern is not getting train-raped daily in prison for the rest of his life... without question one of the biggest crooks on the planet, and that is a HUGE statement...
