At least Hackett wasn't named as interim head coach. 

He deserved to be fired. They do need a good receiver to compete. The current receiving squad is weak.

He was a very handsome man, I'm sure A Rod will miss checking him out during workouts.

Real issue is rodgers. Jets were doing ok with zach wilson.  All they needed was a good QB. 

Yes rodgers is better than zach wilson.  But he no longer tier 1 QB.  Jets gave up too much for him based on PAST performance.

Ever since rodgers trade Jets have regress!

I was always a Packers fan but Rodgers is just too old & should have quit a couple years ago.

 Jets aren't good offensively everywhere, O-line is not good, they don't run the ball well, no big time receivers and AR is not the AR of old. They've consistently underperformed and when that happens, heads roll. No surprise he got canned.

There was a cancer on the team but it wasn't Saleh IMO. 

So, firing the head coach will improve Hackett's offense and make Rodgers play better? That's a bold move.

Let's see how that works out. There is a rumor that Saleh wanted to fire Hackett and instead the owner fired him.
