1st NFL post this season-
The sexy pick of the general public and even a few so called experts today, non-Covers experts, is clearly the Jets. They're getting their fair share of the betting action too. Maybe. I know some people could care less about trends but added to a couple other important items, you have to look at them. Most of you know the Packers bounce back after losses, 12-0 SU, 12-0 ATS, last 12, and 15 consecutive regular season wins at home. Hockey fans, NHL forum, know how I rode the Lightning in the playoffs and their record after losing, I think it was 19 before finally losing. Greenbacks baby.
Jets are much improved and their stock is high right now at 3-2, 2 straight wins over Pitt and MIA. Sorry, not buying into those last 2 wins, rookie QBs, 1st game rookie QBs, and less than average running games, they should have won.
Packers let a game get away last week, credit to the Giants, they never quit, but you know GB had plenty of time to think about it on that long plane ride home. They haven't been lighting it up like in years past so alot of people are doubting them. Their stock is low. Every time you begin to doubt Rodgers and company, excluding the playoffs, they show up, without fail.
Packers have the best offensive line today, the best RBs, and the best QB. Their defense has been slightly suspect against the run but the Jets are only a mediocre rushing team. They've been good against the pass and for the Jets to win, Zach Wilson will need to play at another level, a level we have yet to see. If Rashan Gary, questionable, but he practiced Friday, does play, Zach could be in for a long day, especially against an angry defense that also shut down Brady and the Bucs in Tampa.
I think the Jets come back down to earth at Lambeau Field, a visitors nightmare, and the Pack reminds their fans how much they love to play there.
Pack 27, Jets 16.
PACKERS -7.5, -110
As always good luck to all!
