Happy Thanksgiving Covers Community. I have a comment regarding the games on Turkey Day…
I don’t really like any of the three games tomorrow. Sunday is another story, as there are matchups that are very attractive. So, with Thanksgiving…
When you have matchups on a holiday, and with the proliferation of on line wagering, there are sooo many people that will bet games. Many of them will have never bet a game before. That’s until someone in the family gathering says…”I’ve got a wagering account, let’s have some action”. I’m going to the totals! What fun is it for a newbie in betting the Under? They’ll take the over.
As a contrarian, Under it is.
Good luck all!

This might be a better system than the one you offered me last month. If you had kept fading the Lions, you would have lost your first holy communion money by now.

On the contrary, I see things a little differently. Thanksgiving is a day of gathering for friends and family. Also a day friends and family are glued to the TV. Why, because one or two family members are cheering on the game. And, most likely has a wager. Typical public wager, you are correct, will be on the over. Books wants more gamblers. Best time for books to advertise. Now if a family member is pissed and screaming at the TV because their wager is losing, the non gamblers will think twice about gambling. Now if the game is back and forth and the scores are piling on, the before mentioned gambler is cheering up and down. Bragging about his winnings. It’s all hypothetical, but read both and make your own judgement.
which makes more sense?

There are people who have money and lots of money on this Turkey Thursdays and all primetime games and all of those occasional gamblers that you mentioned combined couldn't even come close to tallying what these heavy hitters put out there as their wagers on these nationally televised primetime games.
If the majority of these so called sharps have lots of money on the overs or a particular side then watch the games closely because the games will fall where the league wants them to fall and the Zebras are there to make the opposite of where most of the money lies attainable.
You also can Best believe the league won't keep you uninterested or disappoint all of these games will keep you captivated until the very last play to see if you have the winner or the loser at the outcome.
Now that's what's called entertainment for entertainment purposes only.
Happy Thanksgiving and good luck to all
