"Herbert threw a league-low three interceptions during the regular season but had four against the Texans, making him the first player in NFL history to throw more picks in a playoff game than in the regular season (minimum 200 attempts)."
I did not watch that game, so I have no idea if he stunk, the receivers played as if drunk on junk, or HOU's DEF made Herbert look like a punk.

To be fair, HOU DEF played him well. Especially once they got the lead.
Early on Herbert zipped a couple of balls. But after that it was as if he was 'aiming' the ball and not zipping it. He was late on a lot of throws, which gave the DEF time to break on the balls, etc.
I did not hear him or Harbaugh indicate if he got injured or banged up. I am sure they would not say, if it had not been obvious, because it would seem like an excuse.
But there was definitely a change of his poise and passes after the first couple of drives. Tentativeness and 'aiming' the ball from a seasoned and talented guy is usually a sign of some type of injury.
But, either way, he did nothing to dissuade the folks that knock him for not being able to take the team to the next level.
He certainly had a very good year and rallied the team to make the playoffs. So, maybe that coach/QB combo and defense can do a tad better next year.

3 of his ints bounced off receivers hands or chest. Dissley dropped a long pass early on and had one bounce off his chest to a Texan. Crazy. I like the guy, his receivers let him down bigtime.

On a positive note, with his 197 yards receiving, Ladd set a new NFL rookie receiving record for a playoff game. The kid is solid. I agree though, yes Herbert had a horrible game (I think his worse in his career), but his offensive weapons outside of Ladd are subpar.

That was certainly informative. Thanks.
The LAC went from 5 regular-season wins to 11 in Harbaugh's first season. While they might continue to improve, they will be saddled with a much-tougher schedule next season.

True. The thing with the Chargers, they will have a better salary cap situation coming up this offseason. Interesting to see how that works out.
