When you’re paying your QB 200M - the expectation is that they can and will be a difference maker when nothing seems to be going right. Typically with their arm, leadership and QB intelligence. This is what I noted on Lamar.
1. Lazy mechanics on short throws. Wildly inaccurate on basic throws to the flat.
2. Bad body language very early in game. Sulking.
3. Negative facial expressions all game. The Jim Caldwell look of confusion and lack of confidence.
4. Showed a lack of patience very early in the game.
5. Never just takes the snap and makes a simple, productive throw for 5-8 yards in rhythm.
6. No togetherness or connectivity with his teammates.
7. No positivity, no pumping the guys up
8. Showed a lot of panic, a lot of worry
9. Poor awareness of down & distance
10. Poor clock management
11. Way too many deep balls overthrown
12. Careless interception with the game on the line
Very polarizing player. He’s an injury away from RG3.

accurate but he was playing the bestdefense in the league. Purdy hasn’t fared well against the AFC going 2-3 this year. Now he faces the best team in the AFC. He will not date better than Lamar.

Reid locked him up. He identified his weakness. D line cage him in, make him throw from the pocket, close the middle of the field, make him throw accurately outside the numbers. He was 3-11 on passes 10 air yrds or more. 27%. Teams are daring LJ to beat them.

Not really. There were plenty of check downs open. There were also plenty of gaps to run through with open field. That being said the O Line of the Ravens didn’t do a very good job on Sunday either. Nor did Todd Munkin with his pass happy game plan. But Lamar had chances to break out of the pocket and run. He just didn’t. Plain and simple he choked.

Did you see the face at the end of the game? Looked more like a demon than someone sulking. Pissed af.
As a team they weren’t ready. 3 and out immediately and then let the chiefs go down and score a TD on the first drive. I knew it was game over soon as chiefs started moving the ball. Lamar slipping on the first run of the game for 2 yards…just didn’t have a good feel instantly.

Ok, but his playoff record speaks for itself - LJ consistently can't get it done when it counts.

Jackson didn’t have a good game and there are many times he should have just taken off. You can blame much of his wanting to overly prove his passing acumen on his critics you guys. But before you begin to criticize Jackson you have to criticize the coaches and their offensive game plan. Best rushing offense in the league and they ran it 6 times….6 times let that sink in. Set up to fail. Even the worst rushing team in the league, Tampa bay ran it 29 times against eagles and 15 times against lions, but the best rushing team only ran it 6 times.

Running QBs like LJ and Josh Allen tend to not win SBs. Lamar had 50+ yds/game rushing this season
I looked this up a while ago, IIRC the SB winning QB with most rush yds was Russell Wilson with avg 33/game, and that was when Seahawks had a historically dominant defense so he also had that going for him. Other SB winning QBs are usually under 30 rush yds/game

He runs too much IMO

Yeah ravens would’ve won the game no doubt if flowers didn’t fumble…but that’s exactly why he had to fumble. Wasn’t meant to be for the ravens this year.

This year was his big shot, Burrow, Allen, weakened Chiefs team. Gets Houston in div round, rookie QB. What a choke job... He looked exactly like he did against the Chargers in his first playoff game. It was too big for him then and it still is. Panicking, the most pathetic throws that fkn Zack Wilson could make. On the other side I saw a team that was playing like they were at home. No false starts, no delay of games. Did whatever they wanted. It was almost like they were toying with the Ravens. Don't even score in second half as they knew they didn't need to. This overrated fraud is about to get up there and accept his second MVP. It's like a Saturday Night Live bit. IMO every award should be decided AFTER the entire season and he's Exhibit A to the argument.

@bigred84 There is ZERO chance the OP would be qualified enough to work at Food Lion. You're giving him way too much credit

He should go to a dermatologist. 200+M contract and he's got more acne then a teenager in HS. Not a fan of his play. Patrick Mahomes made him his lil itch

Your not winning many games with a 20 for 37 comp % , ugly , a bottom feeder type performance in the nfl ,
The ravens trailed one game all year heading into the 4th Q , trailing the rams by just 2 !
Was Lamar really battle tested enough to know if he’s really got it ? Doesn’t look like it
Down 10 most of the 2nd half , trailed big for first time in second half and going into the 4th , as bad as Lamar was his d didnt break so he had a chance still ,hard to believe with just 7 on the board , he had to put together a few good plays , just didn’t finish in the red zone , 10 pts ! Ouch !
Will be tough for him getting over this one
Just a very very poor performance again in a HUGE PRESSURE do or die game
lamar is still the same lamar !

Baltimore will never win a Superbowl with Lamar Jackson.
The entire NFL knows you need someone who can pass to win the big games, except the Ravens. Hocked their house for a good running back playing quarterback.
Sad really.
