Not going to spit out a bunch of stats, just going with the good old eye test and some history. Peyton does not seem to always come up big in big games, and Brady does. If the Pats won Monday night I would probably lean to the broncos in a tight game but after that loss I think the Pats take care of business at home. They just put up 20 points on the road against arguably the best D in the league, I think they are good for 10 more at home against a lesser D. BB should be able to come up with a scheme to frustrate Peyton who hasn't looked as dominate the last few weeks. Gimme the points and a ML. GL everyone

Yea, the key here is the way NE lost last week. How will they respond. They were robbed of one down on the first yard line but they still had to score on the next play.
I think NE is a professional team in every sense. I think they could use last week's bad luck to rally to a win.
Need to find line of +3.

^^ another idiotic, often used, worthless reasoning. Last week was never bet against brady n bb off a bye on primetime.... how did that work out? Now its dont bet against brady and bb off a loss?? Broncos in a bad spot?? Sandwich game?? They handled Kc last week. I seriously doubt manning is obsessing over their next meeting. What he is obsessing over is how bad he wants to win THIS WEEK! thanks for helping me w my pick joe public

Yup. Biggest factor. Manning in the cold at night against Brady is aweful. Especially in foxboro. Denver should have lost last weekend. Chiefs didn't have the O. Pats do.

The NFL wants Peyton in the Superbowl. Denver at home in the playoffs is the best chance to get them there. The Pats are the only team seriously threatening home field.
If you accept the previous statement as fact, then it sure makes the 2 games they lost with bizarre calls at the end look a lot less like bad luck or coincidence.
A Broncos win this week would all but solidify home field for the playoffs. Broncs get all the calls during this one as they cant risk another strange end of game call.

First, I will be at the game come Sunday and yes, it will be downright freezing with high temps slated for 34 degrees during the day and 20+ winds (probably mid 20's by game time).
The idea that Peyton Manning plays poorly in cold weather is big misconception (personally, I think stemming from playoff losses to NE in early 2000's), his teams are 10-10 (or 11) when playing in sub 40 degree conditions over his 15 year career. Check out the stats for yourself:
I would probably focus my capping attention a bit more on match-ups, injuries, interviews, line movements, etc than the weather in this situation. If anything, the 20+ mph winds will have the greatest effect in this game, not the cold.
Here's another interesting article/stats on TB vs Peyton all-time.
I will sit this game out on the wagering side as I don't see either team being able to stop one another but the wind factor also has me on the sideline for a wager on the Over. GL and should be a unreal game!
