Question

Current weather prognostication from accuweather is that the kickoff temp will be around 30 degrees (22 degree low), 2% chance of precipitation, but winds will be in the double digit range of 15 MPH with higher gusts (20 MPH).

The wind complicates a passing attack...I remember Dan Fouts going into Cincy to face the Bengals in the wind, forget about it...but the winds were stronger than this, though double digit winds would really affect Mahomes' deep ball.

Monday the prediction is for a 46 degree day... I am still torn on this game...

My biggest concern if I take KC is will their D be able to stop the Pats' run...if not, then Brady will burn a lot of clock and keep the 'Great One' on the bench.

What is the hype on mainstream sports' media this week? Scott Ferrall (sports' show for bettors) in his CBS radio show said that the hype this week was on the Patriots...so he is on KC and the Rams this week. He had the Pats last week...

nflweather.com website is showing winds at only 6 mph...and the accuweather the winds higher (mellowing as the game goes on)...

I been using bing for exact up to the minute stadium weather for everywhere all season and they have been bang on. Just move the time dial and you can get whatever time you want. Nowhere near the winds you are saying. Have not heard wind reports like that in any forecast for the game. Everything is mellowing out. Could change, who knows.

Wunderground predicts the wind in Kansas City on Sunday to be at 7 MPH during the game... when have the weather guys ever been accurate in my lifetime? Almost never...

Wind won&#x27;t matter at all to Mahomes.  His passes cut through the air easily.  If it&#x27;s a windy game, then the Pats will be killed as Brady will throw an int at least once.   &#xA;If snow is not a factor then that really helps the KC offense.  Last week guys were dropping easy passes and balls were coming out funky from Mahomes a few times.  &#xA;That whole "run the ball and keep Chiefs offense on bench....." gameplan was uttered by every single team that played the Chiefs.  Not one stopped this offense from putting up yards and points.

Not sure why everyone is so infatuated with the weather. It&#x2019;s January....it&#x2019;s usually cold. Not a big deal. Both teams have played in it before.

Looks like the winds are diminishing towards the evening. It stops at 7 PM and of course the game will go on til at least 9 PM. Over 63% of all NFL games with double digit wind speeds go under the posted total. Same goes for games played at a certain minus temp level. It&#x27;s gambling, I personally enjoy having as many odds and probabilities in my favor as possible. That&#x27;s why for me. Betting an Over in an NFL with double digit wind speeds is a no go for me, same with the certain minus level. That rule has served me very well.

That&#x27;s quite a difference. I will just look again closer to game time. No point until then the way weather shifts these days, it could change quite a bit in the next 72 hours. Yes wind is my concern, that is what I always monitor, especially with this game with one team having a short passing attack and the other liking to go deep. Thanks bud
