That makes no sense if anything it hurts his next contract. Injury prone can't stay on the field who is going to want to give him a max deal. 

I think he has played his last game for Balty already...Lamar Fak'd up...should have taken the contract he got offered by the Ravens somewhere in the 250 Million range with 140 guaranteed.....he bet on himself and going to cost himself some serious coin....2 straight years with a knee injury and missing a ton of games....for a running QB..

His an absolute clown. The contract they were offering him was huge, IMO it was way too much for a QB I did not see as having Super Bowl winning potential because he is a turnover machine. Yet he thought it wasn't good enough.

He has accomplished nothing in the league and you could easily make a case he is the worst QB in the AFC North. But, someone else will still pay him handsomely

Lamar and Roquon Smith don't have an agent. 

Roquon got the largest contract for a LB in nfl history. 

Lamar has an uphill climb ahead of him.

His mom is his agent....28 ppg when he starts ..how terrible is that..

When somebody else starts for the Ravens  in the last 4 years 18 ppg....

Lamar will be fine - Baltimore will put the franchise tag which will pay him significantly.  They may even entertain trades and given the number of desperate teams in the NFL looking for a QB someone will pay him A lot.  At this point I don’t think Lamar has a choice in risking further injury given no contract.  

Sign the contract. Being the highest paid player or comparing a contract to someone else’s is rat poison. Trying to get Deshaun money was not worth bringing up in negotiations. Maybe Cousins money, but not Deshaun. That is a negotiation killer.

Chester Watsons contract phucked him up bad....

He ain't getting anywhere close to Watsons guaranteed money, over $200 mil no way. If that's what he wants though then he can go play for the loser Texans lol they wouldn't mind ponying up that kind of money... (Brock Osweiler.. Deshaun Watson.. they wasted alot of money over the last 5 years..) but In exchange no super bowls.. make your decision Lamar

The Ravens fucked up. Every talk radio show host in Baltimore has been indicating the Ravens fucked up and Lamar probably won’t return for about a month now.  

Look at Rg3 who came back early for the postseason.  

Then look at the guys who were paid over lamar last two years….Watson…Kyler Murray…and Dak.  All of those guys are a class beneath Lamar and Watson got fully guaranteed. If Lamar was fully guaranteed he’d be playing this week.

Funny Sammy Watkins of all people and that dude is hurt all the time lol. Has been back in Baltimore only a couple weeks now and already stirring up shit lol. I know Sammy trying to mean well with those comments and wants Lamar back out there but can't give the media more fuel to add to the fire. Way too much of a distraction before their playoff game... 

I would say Lamar screwed up if they actually could win a meaningful game without him, but from my standpoint Lamar has made a even better case for more money by how crappy they are currently without him.

  The Ravens are going to franchise tag him.   Lamar ran a pro style offense at the University of Louisville and the Ravens will bring in a new offensive coordinator who will bring out the best in him.   With Lamar Jackson as QB, the Baltimore Ravens will win Super Bowl 59 after the 2024 season.
