Lions Vs Vikings Discussion

Total set at 58.. I can’t recall seeing a total like that.  Who do you guys like here ?

Vikings are healthy on defense and the Lions injuries on defense have showed big time last month. Personally rooting for Lions but see Vikings by 6 or 7. RB Montgomery was also a big loss. Vikings can make a few stops on defense but I don't see Lions making many big stops. Goff has shown he can win big games.....can Darnold? I also trust O'Donnell more than Campbell.

We've got a few things going here.

For me the most pressing is Darnold and how he handles this game.  He has been very sharp of late, but it gives me pause.

Next is the motivation of this Detriot team, its undeniable they show up. Their defensive performance yesterday gives me pause and similar to Darnold there is an unknown Campbell impact.  

The reality is this is a classic coin flip game and for me the teams don't matter and the correct play for me would be Minny on the ML.  Over the long run for coins flips, this is the most profitable.

Now if you liked Detroit (which I actually do) the appropriate plat would be laying the points but again now you need 53% of these flips over the long run.

Totals were that high when Moss was with the Pats. I think the Vikings go into Detroit and beat an injury riddled team. Tough tough ending to the season with injuries. I really liked them to win it the NFC, but not with that defense. 

I'm Vikings fan.  I never bet a side on them and rarely an O/U.

Great thread and thoughtful replies for a classic game. One question, will Lions' linebacker Alex Anzalone return for this one??? Any other players on the Lions' D coming back? I hear the returner and 4th wide receiver Khalif Raymond is due back too. 
How will Darnold and Goff respond to the pressure? Still concerned about Darnold actually (an old habit hard to break). Have to favor Flores' defense versus the skeleton Detroit D. 
The Detroit Lions are my favorite team but I have mucho respeto for the Vikings. Should be thrilling!!!

MN alt spread +4.5 is -162...

At those odds, you have to win both...u telling me neither of these teams can win by 5 in what should be a track meet?

Difficult game to cap.

Both teams have excellent secondary's. Minny #4 Detroit #5

Both teams have excellent qbs.

Darnold qb rating on road is 112

Goff is 113 @ home.

Lions are better on 3rd down offense & defense.

Lions are also better in redzone offense and defense.

Darnold has better numbers is red zone than goff, top 5.

Minnesota cant run the ball in red zone 6 tds Detroit has 22.

Detroit's weakness is run defense. ( rank 22) Minnesota weakness is run game. ( rank 30).

Coaches are polar opposites, but 2 of the best on decision making.

Fg kickers, Reichart has been shay lately hitting only 7 of last 12, but has big leg.

I guess the big difference for me is the red zone.

Detroit is more dynamic offensively in the red zone with the ability to run.

Minnesota has struggled in the red zone running the ball.

I think Detroit -3 ( -105) is the right side

Khalif Raymond on Offense will be back and the Captain of the defense Alex "the animal" Alazone has told the Lions he wants to play the Vikings game Sunday. The Lions have a huge advantage on offense yes Vikings have Jefferson Addison Hockenson. Detroit has RB's Gibbs and Reynolds and throw in Jefferson. Jameson Williams the fastest wide out in the league period Raymond back Amon Ra St Brown Sam Laporta Tim Patrick. Oh yeah the best damn Offensive Line in the NFL Vikings better watch their blitzing schemes because Goff will be ready and that Vikes back end will get their asses whipped with the Lions talent. Give me Goff over Darnold in a huge game any day. Same as Monday night Lions put up the points and defense with ball hocking Kerby Joseph make enough plays for a Lions victory. This game is not in Minny its at Ford Field roudy Ford Field might just be a few false starts.   Like Dan Campbell says I don't care if we win by one point just win baby.
