So I just had probably the most stressful betting day of my life. I don't know what got into me, but I decided to bet huge, about 400% above what I normally bet.
I did a two game ML parlay on NO and NE and yea we all know how NO did.
So I said f**k it, I'm doing the same thing on NE and IND. Half way through the game I "knew" it was all over. I was so stressed it was unreal.
Even though they game back I'm withdrawing 90% of my bank roll and betting for fun. I just stressed like a fu*cking mad man to break even.
Time to start enjoying betting and watching games again.

You don't have to necessarily abandon betting completely and we've all been there at one point or another. Honestly, if you decide to keep playing, I suggest significantly lowering your wager. Betting big on big games seems obligating to watch every snap of the game. It would be so bad that sometimes you just have to get out of the house and just keep your mind off the game until the 3rd/4th quarter - or even after the game.
If you bet $10 max, and just do some random $1 parlays or $2-$3 plays, you will learn to be disciplined with money management. It's the hardest thing to adjust to and I'm just learning to do that this year. So far from a $500 deposit, I'm up $2340 right now because I took the loading bonus and am required to wager at least $7500, just need a little under 1K left and I will meet the requirements and can finally request a withdraw.
The first play I made, it was all $500 and I loss. So I only had my $250 "free bet" left to wager and threw it all on NO -7 vs Miami on MNF and won. From that point, i knew I couldn't just go all in anymore on a consistent basis. Upset that I had to wager so much ($7500) on a $500 initial deposit to withdraw, I felt determined and challenged myself to be disciplined and meet their rip-off requirement.
Play smart, be disciplined and bury your books!
Best of luck

The offshore books couldn't offer bonuses (up to 100%, in some cases) if they didn't require a 12 - 15 times rollover. After all, I don't think you would be up $2300 if you didn't get the $250 bonus.
I once built up my bankroll up to $2200 from a $50 referral "finder fee." Then I started betting bigger and my luck ran out and I started chasing. Lesson learned.
I only bet what I can afford to lose, and if I do lose, I don't get all bent out of shape because of it.

That's the mindset to have. Bet what you can afford to lose without losing sleep or going on a rampage. I've seen the harmful effects it has and everything turns to negativity.
It's weird. I've also once turned not just $50 but it was like being down to my last $50 I believe on a 500 deposit. I threw it all against my favorite team (SD) and played against them and the over, luckily I won. That was the turning point as I went on a roll and my winnings accumulated to over 3500 and cashed half of it out. Unfortunately, with bad management skills, I ended up relinquishing the winnings.
For example today, I was up for the weekend and had won my teaser and parlay bets earlier. The Sunday night game started while I was already at work, so no play for me. Then at lunch, I have a chance to place a live wager, instead of trying to put too much thoughts into it, I said screw it, just played $1.50 to win $1.00 on the over and go back to work....an amount I could afford to lose without breaking the bank. I ended up winning, cool a dollar with little action but certainly no stress regardless of the outcome!
