The NFL returns to Saturday now that the college football regular season is over. If the season ended today, the Patriots would be the #1 seed in the AFC while the Colts would be the #6 seed due to the all the tiebreakers they own over every other 7-6 team. GucciCapper believes the Colts are one of the better teams in the NFL despite their record. Winners of 6 out of 8, the Colts have turned their season around after their horrendous 1-4 record. Despite that, the Colts are hanging on for dear life in the AFC. With a loss at home against the Patriots, GucciCapper believes the Colts playoff chances would ultimately come to an end. Despite having two cupcake games at the end of the season with the Raiders and the Jaguars, the Colts have to fly into Arizona next week to face a Cardinals team that is coming off a loss. These 7-6 AFC teams can not afford two losses in their last four games. Therefore, this a MUST-WIN situation for the Colts. Unfortunately for them, they are going against the red hot Patriots who are on a seven game winning streak. While both teams are coming off a bye, the Patriots and Bill Belichick are actually not that great when they have an extra week to prepare. Belichick has a 13-9 record off a bye and GucciCapper believes that the extra time off for the Patriots will cool down their winning ways. The Patriots have been amazing defensively but GucciCapper believes the Colts will be able to run the ball against them. As long as Carson Wentz doesn’t make any boneheaded mistakes, the Colts should take care of business at home in a game that is extremely important for them. Expect this game to come down to the wire with Mac Jones making a couple crucial mistakes that ultimately seals the deal for the Colts.
