I like Scalabrine's writeup for this game and liked the G-Men before that. I do agree that getting away from home is the best thing that can happen for a team like them right now. Coughlin needs to win the game to keep his job (altough I thought he would have been fired about 5 years ago). The Dolphins plain and simple are not good on offense at all! They rank 31st in third downs and if the Giants can get a little more production on defense it could be a long night. Yes, the Giants are dead last in red zone % which is not good but Miami isn't necessarily a brick wall either.
Both teams should be able to run a bit and Miami is 31st in opponents rushing first downs at 7.4 a game. New York has a lot better QB and Manning thrives in these situations! Also, if this game comes down to a needed field goal, Brown is pretty damn good although he missed one while on the line!
Giants are #2 in takeaways a game and Miami is 13th in giveaways. New York wins the turnover battle!
Point is: GMEN need this game!! They play well when they need a game. Who gave them a chance versus NE?
Prime time game? Give me Eli over Tannahill!
