MY LAST BET....

Question

Well my covers family, the time has come... I'm out! The Super Bowl will be my last bet! With my first child due in a few weeks I have to give this up for good! I enjoyed the great run and the fun I've had with many of you....

But my family has to be #1 and I can't lose money that should be going to them... I should have stopped a while ago, but I gave it one last run. Now I gotta give it up!

It&#x27;s hard to quit betting cold turkey.  Just like any addictions, you need to take it slowly and then you will eventually quit betting altogether. &#xD;&#xA;Also, don&#x27;t let your New England loss get you down.  Just like any bettors, you need to forget about your loss and move on to the next day!

I don&#39;t need to, I want too... It&#39;s just time consuming and that time needs to go to my family... I also didn&#39;t lose on the pats tonight, I had Balt. So I did fairly well this weekend....I hear what you guys are saying, thanks! BOL

Said the same exact thing in 2006 when my daughter was born. I just bet football and gives me summer and lots of time with my kids.Money Management..

This is a Hobby, and nothing more, Your family is the most important thing in your world, and should allways be First and foremost in your thinking. This should neve ever take anything away from what is real and important.

You are a good and wise man , you have made the correct decision.

You should be proud of yourself. and do not pay any mind to the people who do not support you.

I have children. I mentally said same thing when 1st came around. The thing is, your baby doesn't need you much the first year, in fact, you'll be up at weird times of the night if you feed. Some of my most profitable months ever were when I was feeding the baby at 11 pm, then 2 am. Its easy to mute a tv at 11 pm while giving a baby a bottle and watching santa clara / st mary's.

But i hear ya. I shut it down April to late August every year as well so I have balance. Best of luck.
