You can go back and forth all day long about the #1 Denver offense vs. the #1 Seattle defense and the individual match-ups this game presents, but I feel the biggest key factor in this game is the immobility of Peyton Manning. I'm not sure why I'm not hearing more about this from the "experts".
I see the defensive backs of Seattle neutralizing the receivers of Denver which leaves the Seattle front seven to really get after Peyton with various blitzing schemes knowing that he won't be able to escape them with any type of scramble. With the "in your face", press coverage that Seattle plays, I think it will take away a lot of the short passing game of Denver which is their "bread and butter", and taking away the quick passing game and yards after the catch will give the defense an extra second to get to the immobile Peyton Manning which will lead to sacks, turnovers or incomplete passes.
If Peyton had even a tiny bit of ability to scramble out of the pocket, my thoughts of this game and my prediction would be much different and I would have to put my money on Denver to win and cover. Again, I feel Peyton's immobility is what will ultimately cost Denver a Super Bowl victory.

I wish all of you the best. This should be a great game to watch!

One_Percent - The denver o line has been playing very good ball as of late, therefore I'm not sure your theory holds up. I hope you win because I will just be watching the game. I'm not betting on the game plus I'm so sick of hearing about peyton manning that I hope he kinda losses.

With ya, I put out Seattle 24-17 on my radio show. Think that defense comes up with an a extra play or two and is the difference. I felt from Day One, this was Seattle's season.(And I'm not a Seahawk fan)

it could very well play out this way, but you're forgetting one thing. manning gets rid of the ball faster than any QB in the league (by a wide margin). his entire offense is based around this concept and he has the personnel to execute it - as evidenced by his 55 td's passes and over 5000 yards. yes, the seattle D presents a greater challenge than any team he's faced this season, but he had no issues dismantling the Chiefs twice, who statistically had similar #s to Seattle's D. my counterpoint is, you're suddenly banking on his mobility being the #1 issue and costing his team a win, when it hasn't been an issue all season.

You are right on with your point about Manning getting rid of the ball faster than anyone else in the league. He is a master of it, he makes it look easy, and yes, he does have the weapons to execute that style of offense to the highest degree (as we've seen all year long with the Broncos).
With that said,
1. The Seahawks defensive backs are the most "in your face" from snap to whistle on every play unlike any other bunch that the Broncos have seen (maybe the best group of defensive backs that Peyton has EVER faced). They are big, fast and strong, and if there is one group of defensive backs in the league that can handle this type of Denver attack, it is this Seattle team.
2. Every opponent of the Denver Broncos this season knew what they were up against and what they needed to do to shut down the Broncos, yet rarely did it happen. Players and coaches knew what they had to do to stop Peyton and Co., but knowing is the easy part. What Denver's opponents DIDN'T have was the players on the field to do it.
In my opinion, Seattle has the players on defense to slow down, even neutralize the receivers of Denver, and on top of that, the Seattle coaching staff had two weeks to come up with something special for Peyton.
Believe me, I am never comfortable wagering against Peyton Manning and very rarely will I do so, but this game is one of the few exceptions for me.
I'm really looking forward to watching this game.

I'm in the exact same boat as u...well said. Hate going against Manning but I've always preached Defense wins titles in any sport so why become a hypocrite now.

disagree manning is over rated been in the league 16 years has 1 ring he put up big numbers this year because 1) he threw the ball a lot 2) he did it against the pathetic AFC defenses. he hasn't seen a defense like seattles in years- now throw in the fact he is about as mobile as a land tortoise and the legion of boom is gonna be on his receivers like a cheap suit that certainly doesn't bode well for mr manning. the prop bet to take is seattle -4 or more this could get ugly for Denver just sayin
