It's the same as it's always been. They don't need to fix anything to beat the bettors. They give you every option possible to bet. They even let you bet all during the game and you still can't win. They even let you basically set your own lines live for extra juice. You think everyone bets on the same thing. Local bookies here in DFW driving brand new Caddilacs that have been in business for 30 years. They seem to do good every year. Can't beat the juice.

@Bill7 Of course I'm serious.
Please demonstrate and provide this evidence that you seem to believe exists that the NFL is fixed. I'll wait.
And what does Tim Donaghy have to do with the NFL? He was an NBA referee who bet on games he officiated. We have evidence for all of that. When you have evidence for something, that's a valid reason for belief. That's a valid justification to warrant that belief.
We have absolutely no evidence this same thing is happening in the NFL. None. Zero. Thus, any beliefs the NFL is "fixed" is currently completely unjustified.
The time to believe in something, anything at all, is after there is evidence and a valid justification to warrant that belief. Not before.
There might be a teapot orbiting the sun, in between Earth and Mars, that is just too small to be seen with our telescopes. But until we have evidence for such an object, there is no valid reason to believe it exists.

Mostly because air and wifi are able to be examined whereas neither of us have the opportunity to sit in high level NFL meetings. For the record, I do not believe the NFL is fixed, rigged, or scripted. I do believe with the explosion of books in the US there is an interest to keep games actionable (close). Closer games = more bets. More bets = more book profits. More book profits = increased marketing budgets. Increased marketing budgets = more / higher priced advertising slots.
We can examine how the subjectivity of rules coupled with very minimal recourse from coaching allow for this. We can also talk about the increased value of contracts coupled with limited earning capacity durations create a business decision environment by players when games are out of reach (allowing for more BDC's). However, you do not seem to be a reasoned mind and these discussions wouldn't move the needle with you and seem pointless.
Your position of without tangible proof there is no possibility remains an amazing posture to me.

It's right in front of you, clearly all this online gambling has corrupted the integrity of the game and outcomes, when this much money is involved, it's controlled
I sure do miss the old days of the NFL
