So Brees in the dome is only -8? That would mean they are 2 point favorites or so in Philadelphia. Anyone surprised at this line? Best team in the nfl laying only 8 at home?

I read that the last 10 times teams rested the majority of their starters in the final game of the season because they had a bye wrapped up, those 10 teams went 4-6 STRAIGHT UP and lost the game outright.
I guess rust can be an important factor if alot of the key starters haven't played meaningful football in close to a month.

Brees posted a league-leading 89.7 Total QBR in home games this season, the second highest since ESPN began tracking QBR in 2006 (Aaron Rodgers, 90.5 in 2011), leading the Saints to the second-best offensive efficiency in home games (85.0), according to FPI. One ray of hope for Philadelphia is that the Saints had a 30.4 defensive efficiency at home, second worst in the league.
On top of that, the Eagles have been playing their best football of the season heading into the playoffs, and have the nest red zone defense in the league this year. This isn't the same team that lost 48-7 to them earlier in the season. If anything, that 48-7 loss probably works in the Eagles favor in this spot. Most of the players knew they played liked crap and felt Payton was running up the score, going play action and running wheel routes when the game was over early in the 4th quarter.
I'm surprised he didn't try an on-sides kick when it was 41-7

Well you are right about the chiefs line. That would make the colts 1 point favorites or so at indy which is insane. But the saints line looks really strange as they are at home

Seems like a tough spot for the Eagles because this is their 3rd straight road game Sunday and I think it's also their 5th road game in the past 6 weeks as well. .Foles didn't play that well last week but the Team plays better for Foles and they pull hard for him so credit to them and Doug Pederson as well. . I think the well rested Saints off the bye and at Home they should be able to win by double digits and you have key experience with Brees and Coach Payton. GL
