Green Bay Packers
The Packers lost Jordy Nelson to a torn ACL a few weeks ago, and then felt their stomachs drop when Cobb hurt his shoulder. No other starters were on the field, why was he? I mean come on man! He’s day-to-day as of now, and should be ready to go week 1. Luckily the Packers have a guy who threw for 38TDs & 5Ints in 2014...Oh he hasn’t thrown a pick in Lambeau since Dec. 2nd 2012. The 2014 MVP gets better each year, and doesn’t look to be slowing down. The OL played together the majority of last season, however 3 out of the 5 starters are hurt, and are questionable for opening week. That could be a little dicey for Rodgers to have that many back ups in front of him. Green Bay runs a lot of shotgun, and that will help keep that OL from getting burnt all the time. Eddie Lacy looks to continue to be an up incoming beast of a RB, he went for 1,566 total yards; 13Tds in 2014. Good thing I took him with the 3rd pick in one of my leagues. The Packers defense is looking rough at the LB position, and not much better looking at DL. Peppers is back a year older, and B.J. Raji is looking healthy for this year. Clay Matthews is a stud, and the only good LB, but he can’t play 4 spots at once, can he? Nick Perry could be a decent player, and the pressure will be on for him to step up if they want to get pressure on the opposing QB. Ha-HA Clinton Dix is showing his potential at safety, and has Hayward, Shields, and Hyde all returning in the secondary. They’ve looked a little rough this preseason, and could be in for a long season if they don’t start getting to the QB. They do have playmakers on defense, and those guys make the difference on Sunday. You don’t want to have a shoot out with Rodgers. It’s hard to bet against Rodgers. 11-5 (1st NFC North)
