Hello all…week three and the unexpected continues to happen. Here goes….
Gonna start with my top pick in New Orleans. The Saints played an absolutely perfect game in Dallas last week. Perfect. Now they host the Eggles who could have very well been 0-2 now. We, as prognosticators, try to break down games and look for angles. For this matchup, I have two…
I am of the belief that if a team plays the aforementioned perfect game the week before, you’re not gonna play better the next game. Strike one Saints. Also…
I had this game as Saints -4.5 here and the line is only-3. Strike two Saints.
To get the strikeout, I’ll use an old gambling saying in regards to the home team here…If you didn’t go to the wedding, don’t go to the funeral. (Translation: if you weren’t on N’Orlins last week, don’t hop on board this week). Fly, Eagles, fly…
Game two is questioning my brain acuity. Carolina has been putrid in the first two games. The Ray-duhs just beat the Blackbirds on the road. This is the home opener for LV. Should be easy? Got three names that make me think that the Cats will show up Sunday…Canales, Dalton and Thielen. A change in QB was needed and done for Carolina. The Raiders and Antonio Pierce are playing game three against a team coached by someone with a name other than Harbaugh. I think the visiting coach is head and shoulders above Pierce. Using the same wedding/ funeral angle here as in game one. Grabbing the points with Carolina.
Good luck all!

Saints are my strongest play. I don't think their first loss will be at home to this Eagles team. The 2024 Saints team are the 3rd NFL team since 1970 to score 90+ points in the 1st 2 games of the season. The other 2 teams, the 2009 Saints, and the 1971 Cowboys both went on to win the Super Bowl. The Eagles defense is 32nd in Opponents Yards per Rush Attempt, and 26th in Opponents Yards per Pass Attempt. The Saints shouldn't have much trouble here.

When it looks that easy, beware. Eagles do have offensive prowess and they can run the ball, this is the matchup that intrigues me today, Eagles run game vs Saints rundefense. If they can run the ball, shorten the game, they'll have a chance to win. My biggest concern is Sirianni, he has to coach to his team's strengths and not make decisions that will cost them like he did against Atlanta. I've got the Eagles +3 and took them in my local pool to win, gotta pick upsets in the pool to win. GL to you!

My view of the Eagles visiting New Orleans. They held the home team to 12 points. Great reversal off their first two games.
Also, the “if you didn’t go to the wedding, don’t go to the funeral” angle was a fade on the Saints. Last week, that was my mantra in a strong play against the Commanders. Love, love, love that angle.
The fact that Philly put up 55 last week…how do you play better than that? I know Washington turned the ball over. But…55? Funeral/ wedding again.
The Chiefs can make history with a win. NFL history. I’m tired of the Kansas Swifty Chiefs, but, they are wicked good. They found a way to beat Buffalo (again) to get here and they should win again here.
It’s KC minus whatever points and the under next week
