2-1 on confident plays last week. 3-2 overall. There are just so many teams I can't trust this year so it's tough to find good picks.
So far I like:
Bengals -4.5
I am a huge Bengals fan so this pick may be a bit biased but I rarely bet on them. I've probably only bet on their games 3-4 times this year but I haven't been wrong yet (teased Steelers last week). I know they're without Dalton but that factor brought this line way too low. McCarron hasn't started a game and he made one of the worse throws I've ever seen last week but sitting on the sideline with a headset on with no thoughts of seeing the field is completely different than having an entire week of preparation, film study, and building chemistry with the WRs. He also has the benefit of having great weapons around him. Even if Eifert is out he has Green, Jones, Sanu and two solid RBs. Although the secondary is banged up, this is one of the best defenses in the league. Geno Atkins should bounce back and give Gabbert trouble all day long. AJ has no shortage of confidence and they'll want to wrap up the AFC North before playing the Broncos next week on MNF. I'll bet on Katherine Webb giving a killer pep talk and swallow the 4.5
Bears +5.5
I just think this is way too many points for the Vikings to be favored by. They bounced back nicely and had a chance to beat the Cardinals but they still don't have the firepower to beat teams big. They've struggled at home the past few games and these NFC North division games towards the end of the year tend to be low scoring, grind it out affairs. I know the Bears have nothing to play for but I trust John Fox and expect them to play hard. It seems like whenever you're ready to trust the Bears they let you down, and whenever you count them out, they show up. There's always a chance that AP lights it up but in an outdoor December game in Minny I suspect Teddy will struggle. Has the feel of a 20-17 type game.
Other leans:
Giants +5 - Not sure they pull off the upset but Eli seems to step it up against really good teams. I saw some stat that he is amazing ATS against undefeated teams. Reminds me of when they played the Pats earlier in the year. The Panthers are a little banged up and will want to avoid injuries but it's hard to bet against them the way they've been playing.
Steelers -6.5 - I'll most likely tease this if I can find another team to pair them with. Brock Lobster is starting to show signs of discouragement and has struggled as of late. He never put up big numbers but did a good job as a game manager with a good run game. The Steelers do a good job of stopping the run and making the QB beat you. Just like they did to McCarron last week. The Steelers offense has been lighting up but now they'll face their biggest test on D of the year. The Broncos CB's vs the Steelers WR's will be a fantastic matchup. Denver can slow down Pitt a little bit but they can't stop them. And Brock isn't going to be able to keep up. The Steelers will win this game. Not sure who to tease with them but the Pats seem like a good options. They should destroy the Titans.

The Ravens can keep this close but the Chiefs must win to stay in control of a wild car spot. I think the Texans win this game. Hasselbeck is looking older every week and the Texans D will continue to put a beating on him. I like the tease here because I don't trust TJ Yates.
Still pondering the Giants but it's down to 4.5 and it seems like everybody is on them so that worries me.
Becoming less confident in the Steelers. Everybody is loving them as well and they haven't seen a D like the Broncos.

3-2 for the second week in a row. I keep trusting the Bears which is a mistake. My other 2 leans would've won even though they were absurd covers. Continued my undefeated streak on Bengals games. Lean Denver next week. Will have a write up on that one later on
