Goofy?
A nfl spread of -2 at -110 is conducive to a ML of -131

Exactly.
They are independent bets. And priced independently.

@undermysac
They are seperate wagers of course,but they are tied into each other
It’s rare you see a spread go up & a ML go down
If there was bigger money flying in on the spread the ML almost always goes up with it
The #’s are tied together like that
It’s back now to where it was -1.5 (-115) & -134 ML

Not necessarily. Both bets will be tied together if the books decide to move the # because of injuries or other related reasons pertinent to the game. Like players, coaching, weather, inside info etc...
But when money(bets) start to outweigh the other side on a line, it will move on it's own. Like vanzack said, independent lines independently priced.

@undermysac
I totally get what you guys are saying
It’s definitely a rare situation
As a spread goes up the ML increases with it 99% of the time from what I’ve seen
-2 -110 what he went to would equal -1.5 -120 to -125 (if you bought 1/2 a point) depending on the book
That is hard to explain since -1.5 would be the same as the new ML
