Oh boy.... I might have a gambling problem

Searching the threads for PRO BOWL insights/predictions and not even one had been opened up yet 

I’m thinking AFC -1.0 (better QBs and recent victories over the NFC)

I remember when the OVER was automatic.  I'm a total hater when I see easy.............but friends.......this was a guaranteed easy win.

But a few years ago, they were d icking around so much and practically playing tag football, that the commish said either play football, or

we will cancel this event.  So, now the total is a crapshoot. 

I think the way to make this game really good, and honest is:

Winners take say 50,000 a man........losers......NOTHING>  other that the fact they were voted all pro.  I think that would make it interesting for scoring.  Just my 02. cents.

  Agreed they need to do something to make these guys play a little harder. For me it's been unwatchable for years now bc like you said it's basically a game of tag. I also remember the days before they caught on to the over being a gimme and started jacking it way up like it is this year. I have to imagine that ratings on this game have dropped significantly over the last 5 years because of how boring it's gotten. To agree with the OP I would have to go AFC to win as well. I think that roster is a little more talented. Although watch out for Kirk Cousins throwing to his boy Jefferson. For me. if I decide to bet this I would probably play a teaser getting the total down as far as possible to take the over and then just give the underdog some more points (NFC in this case) assuming they will keep it close for entertainment purposes. GL if you bet it.

It's not reasonable to expect players to play rough in this meaningless game.  If an edge rusher viciously tackles and seriously injures a valuable QB, the QB's teammates could be out for revenge the next time those teams meet when the game actually matters.

My advice to the OP is to make a small, recreational-sized bet since it's hard to get a handle on the Pro Bowl.

 funny thing was the pro-bowls of the 80s were competitive games and players didn't hold back-I remember the '85 Pro Bowl Joe Montana fresh off a Superbowl, win getting blind-sided by Marc Gastineau of the Jets-17 sacks in that game!! Safe to say that record won't be broken--with the money in the game these days, playing for AFC/NFC bragging rights doesn't exist--the only All-Star game that is remotely watchable and bettable is the MLB All-game--I forgot that the hockey one was played today! Sports Leagues will likely continue with them-more-so for the skills competitions like the NBA to showcase individual talents, rather than the games themselves!

When the nba allstar game made captains to pick their own teams, I knew it was time for the under - ego was in play -the game went to OT and under still hit… if the league is actually getting on their case to make the game a game, under would be the play… way easier for defenses than offenses to play with fellas they aren’t familiar with - if they’re all trying 

Quater backs are strictly OFF LIMITS.  They cannot be tackled in the pro bowl.

Yep, and as a fan, I will NEVER watch this event either.

By the way does anyone have Netflix?

I been binge watching the 4 season episode series OZARK great way to pass the time away instead

 Go back and binge HBO's Deadwood. Unfortunately cancelled after only 3 seasons, it's one of the best and most underrated series EVER. They tried to tie it up with a 2 hour movie 12 years later, and the "ending" still could have been done better...but still a great ride, with some of the best acting I've ever seen. Just my opinion, but I rank it right behind ThronesAnd just to watch it---AFC/over $44 parlay...good luck
