agreed with this..I like the Saints at home to blow the F outta Carolina this weekend....then I love Carolina to cover for the first time this season in Week 5 as home dogs to the Bears.

you will get burned once doing this strategy and dump your whole roll. everyone does. first question you need to ask yourself is can I find a better way to make 180 bucks betting.

I did not mention here that I have been fading the Panthers since Week 2 and I will continue to fade them until they win ATS or the points go 14+.  Only then will I consider whether or not I think they will cover.  I locked them in at -13.5 . Since I took the line at 13.5 I can middle it later if I want but I doubt I will.

I live in the Carolinas and as such I'm "privileged" to watch all their games.  They have yet to establish their running game and have a rookie QB starting.  Their defense is ok but when you don't have any offense it doesn't matter.

There is nothing all that great about the Saints that I like here other than they're coming off a tough loss at home.  So I guess I'd have to say it may not be a good move for everybody now as the line is 14 but I'm already up 2 units off of Carolina so I will fade them NBA-style until I lose.

It could be the Yankees against a high school team and the juice would only be -400

just 1 upset could ruin your bankroll

Funny...just last night I was looking at that Saints game. In this situation according to my database, the Saints will lose outright 46% of the time. Just basically letting the books have a nearly a 50% shot at your $1200 is crazy! There are a LOT better ML's this week. So ask yourself this: If somebody came along and put up $150 and made you lay out $1250 and asked if you wanted to flip a coin for the money, would you do it? Because that's what you're doing. Sure...you might win. Don't let me talk you out of it. Just saying that there's no percentage in making that wager "for me". Sure "SEEMS" like it should be a big home win for the Saints. But that's always when it loses. Stick with the teasers if you want to win. I know..people say that's insane but if you know how to pick them you can win a ton with little risk. But I've been lucky and I know it can be done. I hit a 12-teamer I posted here last weekend, in fact. Anyway, if you play this ML, all the luck to you.

And by the way, sorry for the spam but I've learned one very valuable lesson when I bet games outright and also bet teasers. I never use a game I bet singly in my teaser because then if one game goes south, you lose everything. And if I personally had the Saints I'd be spending time preparing to try to scrape another bank together. My gut tells me Saints win big and your bets are probably safe. My computer tells me a MUCH different story. Be thinking about you come game-time. And again, not saying you can't or won't win. Odds are slightly in your favor. Just saying there are immensely better bets.

You guys all got good points about bankroll management but I never make these all in bets, pretty much just pickin my spot. Another reason for the ML bet was I was drunk lol .  Im confident in the play however and Im pretty sure going to go 3-0 unless something crazy happens but Saints get a WIN this game and move on to next week. Lotta action in this thread keep the posts coming.

not hating, but why dont you just put something around $300 on the spread if thats how you see the final score? think about it... you win a little more than 180 and you only risk 300 instead of 1,200... makes no sense to play the ML on a game you think N.O. wins by 32 points

Spreads have always fkkked me big in the past, and you never know if will be a 3pt win or a 28pt win. I made a play with Saints -7.5 if you looked at plays...
