Im very excited. Football is back! And no better way to kick it off than to see a Super Bowl frustrated, hungry, and talented Carolina team exact revenve for 4 straight quarters on a quarterback-challenged & fat with success Broncos team. Should be a pretty close game, until the cats win by about 9. Things change. The Broncos can only go one way ... down. The Panthers have had this game circled on their calendars, and in their minds, for the past 8 months. Highly emotional revenge about to occur on a national stage. The NFL would love this result too. It would reiterate the truth that parity rules the NFL ... any team has a chance ... so buy tickets, watch tv, buy logo products, and get ready to be mesmerized 3 of the 7 days in the week watching games, and read about the games the other 4 days. I see Carolina success synonymous with the NFL brand! This might sound silly and lacking in solid or specific reasons such as player matchups, statistical trends, or coaching superiority, but I don't care. Emotions and talent and the NFL spirit will be on full Panther display in a big win for the team to beat this year!

Dont understand why you waited till now to post this? You could have had Panthers +1 when the line came out. Didn't you have this game circled on YOUR calendar?

No, not at all. Denver is the reigning Super Bowl champion. The mass public don't care that Carolina is favored. New blood and parity is very much possible with Panther success!

Targa, you are right. If I lived in Vegas and wanted to throw some coin on a team I would have done this long ago. I'm more into playing contests, so there is nothing I can do until the official line comes out anyway. And further, why would anyone bet on a team 6 months in advance for such a specific close game without knowing the state of each team? Cam could have gone down to injury in preseason, or the Broncos could have made a deal for a much better quarterback. So, I will just enjoy the hype we are all part of, try to win a few contests, and enjoy having people like you wondering why I didn't jump all over the Panthers line in April :-)) ... well, it's 2 days from kickoff, so I'm Jumping now, and the mighty Broncos dynasty is in for a rude awakening.

With PEYTON gone, I don't see this as a revenge game at all. If they win, what does it prove?....nothing! Does Denver have to give them the SB trophy if they lose? Hardly.
You need to find a better motivation if your betting Carolina based on that Mr. Footballsmart.

Are u kidding me? While it's no super bowl, there is no better way to remove the bad taste of losing the big game than to have a rematch the next game! This is,Huge for the Panthers, and Manning didn't win the game, the defense did. Don't disregard the element of revenge, or you really don't understand football my friend :-))

Money, i dont pau attention to trends of 19 games spread out against many years. Too small a sample size and irrelevant to current situation. Now if that trend occurred over 200 games, then you'd have something.
