Enjoyed reading your post and it gives me courage going forward with my ML Patriots wager. I agree that the most important defensive stat is points allowed. Philly could be done in by their secondary.

Comparing td/int ratio with SOS is not really accurate if you're trying make a point of judging the secondary. A strong team could have a mediocre qb. One of the games coulda been with against a bad qb with several ints in one game throwing the stats off. Also the ratio alone is misleading cause they could have been giving up lots of yards and ended drive with 1yd td run. Its not so simple...

Also, how many qbs have eagles faced that's as good as Brady?
How many qbs pats face that's as good as foles?
No doubt eagles d is better than pats but not sure it's good enough to contain pats for 4 quarters. The way they man handled minny defense scares me though. It'll be close.

Obviously I hurt your feelings when I challenged your stats concerning your Jacksonville and Philadelphia comparison in an earlier posting. The stats you listed which I challenged were faulty but I digress. You never did followup with an answer to my question for that one but unlike you, I will answer your question and I will do so without becoming insulting.
Philadelphia's secondary was ranked 17th in yards allowed during the regular season. Brady just faced the #1 pass defense in the NFL (Jacksonville) and his numbers were 27-39 for 298 yards and 2 tds. The Jaguars have Ramsey and Bouye and a potent set of safeties who made Gronkowski see stars...his loss didn't matter.
As everybody knows, the aerial attack of the Patriots is unique and unlike any other in the NFL. Tommy Blue Eyes can carve you up short, he can carve you up long or intermediate. If you blitz him, which many have tried, he will light you up like a Christmas tree. The Eagles love to blitz, bring it on TB12 will make you pay.
The precision passing attack of New England make a lot of teams look bad...Philly's secondary will be put to the test and I don't need a boatload of stats in order to prove it. It is what the Patriots do. So...yes Philly could be done in by their secondary.
