greatest qb i've ever seen but in the last month he's been awful. today he was inaccurate

Come on Peyton, you are better than that. Andrew "Wild Bill" Luck tossed 2 picks & still out played you!! Don't embarass Archie with what you are leaving on the field...SMH

What kind of stupid comment is that? People have a right to be critical of his play. You comparing people's comments to an elite QB who played terrible is asinine. Manning played beyond bad to the point he looked disinterested! I am not a fan of his long drawn out audibles and stalls at the line of scrimmage. I have not earned hundreds of millions but I can say he sucked pretty bad today and looked old. Possibly to many commercials?

Of course you have a right to be critical.

This forum is largely made up of degenerate folks scratching and clawing for every dollar. Many of them feel better ripping into successful and famous people. It makes the daily struggle more tolerable, and lessens the blow created by losing copious amounts of money.

Reality is, the same people on here who create threads mocking highly-successful athletes would sell their souls to trade places with them.

Dude your crazy ! I lost with manning I could give a garbage, these playoffs have been a Vegas wet dream IMO . But all the bs about what people saying or you thinking they saying is nuts, don't defend mr jingle, pizza man, insurance man, I am sure I am forgetting oh direct tv man. Who stands to make 19 mil next year IF he plays. Guy looks like garbage in Oct. i ll get over the 3-4 hundred I lost!

You're making it sound like it was a surprised that Luck outplayed Manning. Luck had a much better year than Manning.

In todays game, Luck not only was accurate, he also escape the pressure numerous times with his feet....something Manning can't/won't do. While Manning was chucking the ball all over the place, Luck was quick and accurate.

The 2 picks that you are referring were calculated risk on 3rd down and long plays where Luck tried to make a play on deep throws which ended being the same as a punt. Didn't faze him one bit.

That's because they have a cushy job.  It doesn't mean they're any better than we are.

A lot of these guys make millions and lose it all.  Mike Tyson made hundreds of millions and was broke before he finished boxing.  Allen Iverson made a ton and he can't buy a cheeseburger.

A lot of these NFL guys that you anoint as heroes are going broke.  Mark Brunell was broke before he finished playing in the NFL.

Don't think these guys are all that, we all end up in one place someday.

If they weren't playing football, a lot of them would be on the couch as you said.

Just stating the obvious.

Look, I totally agree about the hero-worship. I, too, laugh at those who do it. It's important to recognize the distinction between respecting these guys' athletic and football talents while noting that many of them would be complete failures in any other aspect of life. Hell, half the league would be in jail (or dead) if not for football. Just look at some of these idiots who punch other players who are wearing helmets. You have to be an utter retard to do that, yet many do it regularly.

RE: Peyton. Yes, he played poorly today, but take a step back and ask yourself if Peyton Manning is actually a failure. Many of the critics tonight will be less vocal tomorrow once the alcohol wears off and rationality sets in. Next week, the cycle will repeat. Criticize, freak out, and eventually calm down. Same story next year, too.

How it goes, I suppose.
