Playoff Spread Trend

Hi guys,I just wanted to throw out there if people dont already know, that in the last 26 playoff games, the spread has only come into play once! This means that the favorite either covers the spread or the dog wins outright!I am really taking this into consideration in making my pick on the Packer Giants game! Let me start off and say, i am a big Packers fan from the Reggie White days, and i am not afraid to pick against the Packers and i choose my spots! When i first saw this line, i thought to myself, the Giants can keep this game within 9 points, but the Packers win! Then i started doing more research, found this trend, and started thinking! I read these forums to grasp what the general consensus is, and it seems to me like the giants are the "sexy" pick! You know, the sexy girl in the bar that everyone is all over, thinking to themselves, im gonna ride this bitch till shes done! But in actuality, while everyone is focusing in on the sexy girl, the decent broad next to her goes unnoticed!The Packers, at 15-1, defending super bowl champions are going unnoticed in favor of the sexy bitch known as the NY Giants! I&#x27;m having trouble seeing how the Giants can contain this team! Sure theyre hot right now, and like other Packer backers are saying the gmen havent played anybody in three weeks, blah blah blah! Theyve played 3 NFL calibre football teams! Thats saying alot, the Giants have played great, but like that sexy girl in the bar, they will fizz out and the next sexy girl will walk in! Could next weeks sexy girl be the Green Bay Packers?? Will people start to take notice of the best team in the league, or will they continue to root against them because they "have to lose"?Anyways, i just felt like posting so take it for what its worth, if i made any sense!My pick for this weekend is Green Bay -7 (-120) at bet 365BOL to all

Hey Mikeyp13, that is a great write up and actualy makes alot of sense in a funny but true way. My take is that line for NYG is high for a reason so that people will take the points and GB covers. It's a very tough game because the gmen have been playing well but I think that spread is high for the sexy pick reason you mentioned. Also, Im not a GB fan so I am 100% neutral. What are your thoughts on the other games?

Hey Mikeyp,thanks for posting back. I like all except the SF game. Im still back and forth on this game. My thinking is that New Orleans will be contained by SF for alot of the game but eventualy New Orleans gets some points and SF will need more then field goals to catch up.

Again, I havent went all in on this bet yet but leaning that way and also maybe the under as well but again stll debating.

I like the other bets and wanted to know how confident are you with the NE pick? I like it as long as NE doesn't pull any BS they did that week they played Indy. That hurt, up I think 21 and let Indy get a few TD'S late to cover.

Scarp - im not 100% sold on New England, its more just a lean, thats why im not playing it! I do however like the over in that game alot! New England has gone over 30 in 7 of their last 8 games! And Denver has shown that they can put up points especially since they will be playing from behind, tebow will be forced to air it out a bit more! I see this as a 35-20 or a 35-27 type gem, thats why im not totally sold on the 13.5 spread

Hey Mikey, I like the over too and yes it is great to see Jennings and Starks back in practice.  Regarding that New England game I think it&#x27;s NE or nothing for me. Thanks for the total info. Im also thinking of teasing NE down with the over total that seams better then laying the 13.5 or maybe 14 by gametime. Thanks
