PLEASE EXPLAIN this to me...............................

Question

OK, so it appears that the majority of covers nation is on the Packers.And I understand why for the most part. Aaron Rogers played about as well as you can in 2 road playoff games and the GB defense basically shut the falcons and Philly down at home. And on top of that they have won very impressive games (4 in a row) against Philly, Bears, Falcons, and the Giants. However, 3 weeks ago when their playoff chances were on the line against Chicago at home, the bears gave them ALL they could handle. In fact Rodgers looked like shit and the Bears defense was suffocating GB for practically the whole game. Now we move onto this weeks game and everybody here for the most part thinks that the Pack are going to smoke the Bears. Like its a foregone conclusion. The line is up to 3.5 in some places. Now I have to agree at first look GB looks like the obvious choice. But if this line goes up to 4&#x2B; I will be looking hard at Chicago. There is no way GB should be 4&#x2B; pts favs over Chicago on the road. So please explain to me why the Bears have no shot here and get rolled???

I sorta feel the same way Baja.  But I&#x27;m approaching this in my typical paranoid reasoning.  If it looks to easy, 90% of the time....it ISN&#x27;T!.  Vegas is just not going to take a bath on this game.  Do I think the Bears are going to win?  No.  Do I think they can cover.........Yes! Hottest team in the NFL right now is GB. Why would you bet against them right now? Do you trust putting $$ on Cutler in a big game like this or would you rather throw your money on a team with a qb that can win you the game like Rodgers?

With out trying to sound arrogant or a "know it all"... I am extremely confident that the Packers win comfortable Sunday... The Bears ARE NOT THAT GOOD... As far as OVERALL team efficiency the Bears rank 17th... the Packers rank for 3rd... My opinion is to not over think this game... Who gives a shit what the lines is, who cares what the perception of the public is on what ... Its all crap... it is EXTREMELY UNLIKELY that the spread will matter in any playoff game, this is a fact... it VERY VERY VERY RARELY falls within the number... I would be SHOCKED if that Packers didn't win by at least 10

Only 2 of those 8 Bear wins were vs teams with winning records, and they were outgained in both those games.&#xD;&#xA;Packers last 4 games have been wins vs teams with winning records.

I realize the spread rarely plays a roll in final outcome of the score. I would love to see a statistic on that, how many playoff games actually fall within the spread. Like I said, I am not sold on the Bears yet by any means. But if the weather looks dicey and throwing the ball might be difficult, I think the Bears may have a slight advantage with their running game.

Surely it could happen. Would it surprise me? Not really. Would it surprise me to see the Bears defense create 1-2 turnovers? No. We all know that usually the team with the most turnovers loses the game. I think if anything Cutler has actually played decent this year. But the perception of Cutler is that he is a turnover machine. Which is true over the last couple of years.  He has 5 more Int&#x27;s than Rodgers this year.
