Bucs run game and short pass game to RBs has pounded the saints so far behind Fournette and Jones. Saints offense has been ok, but just ok and I don’t see them having the personnel to have a better 2nd half. Maybe some more trick plays? Unless brees is able to throw deeper down the field in 2H, I don’t see them moving down the field 75 yards for a TD. Bucs on the other hand are playing smart so far and taking what they’re getting. The moment saints bring their safeties and lbs in the box, Brady will shoot deep more often. As we saw, Godwin got open. It will come down to what team plays the cleaner game. Yes Tampa only scored a TD on Brees INT, but who’s more likely to make the next big mistake Brees or Brady? The better run game and better ability to hit a deep shot looks like in favor of Tampa. Again, I don’t see Brees driving down the field they would need a turnover and they are without a key player in Harris who is also a good receiver. I give the edge to Tampa to win this game, I don’t know what the 2H line is but I would assume it’s a PK. If Tampa keeps pounding the rock, the pass game will open up for Godwin/Brown/Evans/Brate/Gronk/etc.

Also, Lutz has been good so far tonight but he has had his kicking troubles of late. This game may very well be decided by the kicking game. Kamara we all know is explosive, but has been neutralized so far by good Tampa tackling and the return of devin white. I feel it’s just a matter of time before the Bucs get behind these saints corners as good as they are. I trust Brady’s decision making and Tampa’s commitment to the run game so far.

Obviously aided by costly New Orleans turnovers, but the Bucs offense played such a smart game. The inability of the starting receivers to get open is concerning, and Green Bay might blow out Tampa next week if these guys don’t step up. Early lean is definitely Green Bay minus the number vs Tampa
