Rams vs Chiefs Discussion Thread

So I've been leaning on Rams ML, but I'm torn after doing some research. They're homefield advantage is pretty much non-existant. More Packers fans showed up than LA fans in that home game.

Rams have been winning by small margins recently. Beat Seattle by 2. Green Bay by 2. Broncos by 3. Lost to Saints by 10. Really makes Chiefs +3.5 sound enticing.

BUT, the Chiefs defense is not nearly the same on the Road. So what's more likely, Chiefs defense playing better on the Road, or Rams defense waking up from this slump they've been in? That's what it comes down to, since their offenses pretty much cancel out. I think the play is Rams ML or Chiefs spread. Rams spread is way too risky considering they haven't been winning by over 3pts in most games lately.

What do you guys think? Maybe I'm missing an edge that makes it an easier call

ALSO, one more edge for each team. Cooper Kupp being out is huge.....but also 80% of bets are on Chiefs. And with 80% of money on the underdog in the biggest game of the year.....that's risky for Chiefs betters IMO

Yea watch out betting in chiefs. Vegas wants to win money and trust me Vegas will have their hands in this primetime game

You have great points !  But don’t over think ..  & don’t be misled about home field advantage.. it definetly matters ..I love Rams at home here ... due for a blowout .. Rams defense is smothering .. Donald best in the game ..

Stats wise, with a few exceptions, the teams are almost identical across the board. Rams are slightly better at running the ball and stopping the pass.

The X factor is Donald.  Earlier this year the Rams were in a classic shootout on Thursday night in L.A. against Minneosta.  It was lights out offense across the board, back and forth, until Donald decided to take over the end and completely dominated the final two series. It was the game decider.  I see something similair happening tonight.

He is a animal !! Unblockable his whole career.. was triple teamed at times in High School and at Pitt ..

I agree that he can be the X factor. But where has he been the last few games? The Seahawks & Packers O-lines aren't better than the Chiefs, yet he struggled to show up. But maybe a primetime game like this is where he shows up.

He has 90 million dollars as a reason to show up .. agreed   those games he did ok ..but  also agree .. need more ! Need a Khalil Mack presence!

Chiefs travel well. Also, beautiful weather in Los Angeles. I don't think the crowd should play a factor in this one. I really like the Chiefs plus the points and moneyline. At least, you have a chance to play live or the half depending on what you like. I think a Chiefs bet has a lot more options than taking Rams -3.

Chiefs defense doesn't travel well, significantly worse than at Home. I think if you take the Chiefs, you have to be confident in them winning the game. This is the highest over/under total in NFL history, the odds it comes down to 3 points aren't TOO high.

I think this game will strictly be about offense and key turnovers. I don't think defense will play a significant factor as in total yards gained. Rams will put up points, but Chiefs will hang in there as well. I'm siding with KC's big play ability and punt returns. I think Mahomes puts on a show tonight.
