Ravens/Bengals Teaser????  Make them both even.  What you guys think?

The super bowl loser is known for losing the spread in Week 1. Bengals should lose the spread to the Steelers. I would tease the Steelers.

 I believe fading last years SB winner for the first 3 weeks is a +EV play. Can anyone confirm through their data base?

Pitt getting 7 seems a tad too high...

Divisional match-up so I'm figuring a close low scoring game....

Steelers should be run heavy burning clock which bodes well getting g a TD.

 What does "+EV play" mean?  That's some lingo I haven't heard before.

Defending champs are 19-3 SU in week 1... don't know about weeks 2 and 3, or the ATS numbers.

Bengals are going to be a disappointment this year. Don't have much opinion on this week 1 game, though... but as others have pointed out, SB losers usually fall on their face in week 1.

Expected Value.... plus EV implies your wager has a greater than 50% statistical probability of covering / winning.  

You are calculating the value of the odds / likelihood of a cover or win based on the actual odds and vig.

Cool... understand the concept, but never saw that lazy notation before. A little hard to believe the SB winner is a losing proposition over the first 3 weeks, given that they are 19-3 SU in week 1... but I guess it's possible.
