Pete Carroll as the architect of the most monstrously foolish play call in Super Bowl history.
I don’t like second-guessing play calls because coaches know more than I do about what they see and why they see it, but in this case I will make an exception. He had the best running back in football, a player who cannot be tackled until there are six players atop him. He had two time outs. He had about a minute left. He had one yard to get. He had three chances to get it.
And he had Russell Wilson throw it. If I’d have bet the game. I’d want the death penalty for him. And no, that isn’t an overreaction, especially when you realize how painful the next few weeks of Patriotic preening will be. Even if you didn’t hate New England before this, you’d be ready to sell all six states back to Canada after the nonsense you hear emanating from the squalid acreage of dumpsterage we call Northeast Of Yonkers.
We kid, of course. It’s northeast of White Plains. But the point remains the same. Pete Carroll had a moment of duncery that the nation should never allow him to live down, because he decided to outthink the universe. Hell, even Bill Belichick thinks he’s a meathead, and Belichick has outcoached himself more than a few times in his day.
But here’s the funniest part of all. Suddenly Tom Brady’s legacy is cemented as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time because he won a fourth ring he shouldn’t have won because of Pete Carroll.

After the pages and pages of "analysis" and "theories" from you before the game, you still got smoked on your Hawks bet. What a sucker. And now you're back whining again? Seattle got beat by the better team, and the only reason they got so close was that incredibly lucky azz catch right before the INT. Told you before your money had wings, and after reading the above I'm REALLY glad you lost. I'm enjoying it all over again!! Thanks!!

Glad you are enjoying it. Hawks were gonna drive and score without that big play. In fact, that play might have been the worst thing that happened to them (as they started to get ahead of themselves). Enjoy your win in that "squalid acreage of dumpsterage we call Northeast Of Yonkers."

And don't forget how Hawks "number 1 defense" was good for all those touchdowns. Laughable to focus on one play for your loss.
I've been to California, seen the pollution, crime, and the human filth
that lives in the land of fruits and nuts. Barely need to mention the
bankruptcies and taxes you endure from your ultra-liberal govt; what an
embarrassment. So you can say whatever you like about the NE.
And I am enjoying the win, and will enjoy spending your money even more. Thanks again....

Are you kidding me? You're complaining about 1 questionable call changing Brady's legacy? Butler made an all time great play. That would be like me sitting here saying if tyree dropped that pass and welker caught his brady could have 6 titles.

Hightower played with a torn labrum and Pats didn't have Mayo out there. Everyone has injuries this time of year. Who knows what other injuries pats or seahawks players may have had that we'll never know about.
If you're gonna talk about injuries Lane was a huge one to me, the Pats proceeded to abuse Simon. You can talk about injuries as a factor with almost any NFL team especially this time of year. What percent what you put Rodgers at against Seattle?

If Rogers was 100% he would have smoked the Seacockks. Every team has injuries, deal with them. Playing with a torn MCL seems selfish to me. Backup would have been more effective

People are really stupid. I don't give a crap about the game. This is a gambling site. It's about the fact that they hid the injury. Everyone knew Rodgers was hurt. Hello? Seattle backers didn't know and I can cry about it as much as I want.

The game is over. NE backers will point to their last 2 TD drives and say they deserved the win. Seattle backers will say if Carroll didn't throw the ball, they'd have won. But the thing is, the game is over. Let's just move on. There is no definitive answer, each side has their belief and perspective. And frankly, it does not matter anymore. It is over and NE won. I had Seattle and have moved on. It does not matter if NE's win is tainted or Brady's legacy was tainted. Those are just words and opinions. I hate Brady, but 4 SBs is 4 SBs. Seattle had a fantastic chance to win that game, no doubt. At 24-14 they had the ball at midfield and dropped a pass that would have put them inside the NE 25. The game was over then. The game seemed over with 20 secs left. But, NE won. That's just the way it is. Let's all get over it, move on, and watch some hockey!!!!!!!

They kept Manning's torn quad a secret from everyone as well...
They use these injuries to sway the public's perception. People used AR's ankle as a factor against the seahawks and everyone bet the hawks. No one knew about Manning's quad and everyone bet DEN over IND.

Your point is invalid though. Injuries to the SEA defense. SEA "offense" had the ball at the 1 yard line with 3 downs to win the game. So you can't blame the defense on this one. Its amazing they weren't blown out considering all the injuries to Sherman Thomas and Kam on top of losing Lane and Avril during the game. I had SEA too and everyone and their mama were shouting at the tv when it got picked. But you had a ton of money on SEA, you should have hedged your futures bets on a PK. Lesson learned.
