wont be nearly as effective this week vs the nfl's poster child.

 

Every ref on earth seen the gameplan last week vs Minny and will be on their toes just waiting to fire flags all over the field. Nobody wants to see a Superbowl champion that seeks out late hits and sole game plan is to try and take out the opposing QB. This Saint team is garbage with thugs up and down the defense -who shouldnt even be in this game after the Viking x-mas gift advancement. Cant wait to see this team get killed

There's nothing wrong with trying to get inside Manning's head. Like Sharper stated, this has been their model all season. They are playing smart aggressive defense and I don't see that changing Sunday in terms of getting more or less flags.

Besides, if they do put one good pop on Manning, he's definitely going to be rattle. An INT and the QB is free play on the field..much like the Warner's hit.

If Gregg Williams could come up with a game plan to hit Manning by rule that's fine with me but please no late hit, i saw a few of late hits landed on Bret Favre two weeks ago. Clean hit is fine but no cheap ones, i hope refs can flag cheaps ones on Sunday.

That Mccray bastard is a cheap sob. He was a punk with the Gators and he is a punk now. I could easily see him taking the fun out of the game and KO'ing Manning on one of his vintage late blows to the legs from behind. Wouldnt mind if the Saints legitimately won this game -but i highly doubt they are capable. Simply put: If they cant severly hobble or knockout the other QB they aint good enough to win

Pretty sure Saints will not be allowed to cheat the Colts like they were allowed to cheat Minnesota. Minnesota should have been beat by 21 with all those TOs, and if Minnesota turned the ball over 6 times against the Colts, Colts would have won by 35.

Cheaters get their aces wooped this weekend. Colts 38-24

Sunday is a big game, hopefully no cheap shots will be allowed one way or the other by the refs. Let's play a good and clean football game.

Seriously, are Colts backers a little worry here????? Like Brees never took a cheap shot? or any other QB without the hitter being flag????

Refs are human and they make mistakes. Quit worrying about it.

I think Brees will be taken some cheap shots from Colts as well if Saints are using the same stretegy.

stupid thread. It's football girls. None of those shots were cheap and the player played through the whistle. It was only because it was precious Farve and poster boy Warner.

Hilarious. #93 went at Favre's legs. If he tries to do that to Manning, he'll do 2 years in a Florida Penitentiary. Even the league (after the fact) said it should of been roughing. What are you watching. #93 is a cheap shot artist. He was within the rules to hit Warner, but it was a cheap shot just the same.

dumb post.....those werent cheap shots its called taking a shot at the qb when u get a chance....and we dont have to worry about that with manning because when the pocket starts to collapse he drops to the ground and curls up in a little ball like a girl....and the saints wont have any problem with that because its still a sack and loss of yards....put pressure on manning and he will fold.

There is no doubt in my mind that the referees have discussed this issue in their pre-game meetings.  Look for a 1st quarter penalty on roughing the passer on the Saints, even if the hit was OK.  The same could go for Brees too.

I agree, if you put adequate pressure on Peyton ie "hurry" him, get many "knockdowns", and maybe even bat/deflect a few passes early, Manning is still human, and that internal clock in his head will be ticking juuust a little bit faster if the Saints can apply decent pressure CLEANLY, of course. Peyton and co. will roast you after any 15yd personal fouls after all... if N.O. can register 3 or more sacks in this game, then it will be a victory for their front 4 and will certainly help keep them IN the game imo

even with the saints cheap shots, it would give the colts extra advantages that the saints commit with the cheap shots. this game was really suppose to be INDIANAPOLIS VS MINNESOTA
