So if this game supposedly means nothing tonight for the Lions

Only keep hearing that on here btw.  Have they also locked up the #1 seed even if Philly wins next week and Lions lose tonight?

Number 1 seed will come down to next weeks game vs Vikings. Philly is set at 2 seed. 

interesting to note though if the lions game ends in a tie next week vs Minnesota; tonight’s game would come into play.

Dan Campbell is not going to lay down tonight. I really think the Lions want to win this game no matter what next weekend game means. This is about keeping the team playing well going into the playoffs. 

Well I see no reason to play Goff 2nd half if that is the case.  One tweak of the ankle in a meaningless game and they could lose home field and the division

Dude yes it means nothing to determine who gets the #1 seed. It means nothing to who wins the NFC North. That doesn't mean it means nothing to Campbell or the Lions. I wish I knew what it honestly meant to them. But it should mean something to Brock Purdy and the 9ers that is for sure.

Well between wanting a win and guaranteeing Goff's health for there most important game of the season next week I'll take Lions 1st half.  I don't see Dan sitting any players but I can see Lions trying to go for a blowout in the 1st H and probably play super conservative in the 2nd H no matter even if the score is tied after the 1st.  So that way he can still satisfy himself and everyone else

LIONS ARE 100000% PLAYING TO WIN TONIGHT.  AND THERE IS ONE SIMPLE REASON WHY.  THAT REASON IS BECAUSE IF THE LIONS WIN TONIGHT AND WIN NEXT WEEK THEN THE LIONS GET THE #1 SEED AND GET THE ONLY NFC BYE.     

Really vikings 14-2  if lions win tonight theybare 14-2 down the next week if the Lions beat the Vikings lose not only do they win the division they will get a first round by. I don’t understand why all these fucking people are saying it doesn’t matter

No, Lions would still win the #1 seed even if they lose tonight as long as they beat the Vikings next week. The only difference with a win tonight is they only need a tie against the Vikings.
