Sombody explain this Giants line to me?

Question

Seattle gave up 8 sacks to the Raiders last week, now they get the Giants who have knocked out 4-5 QBs this year with Charlie Whitehurst (who makes $4M per year, who knew!) getting his first start. Giants should run the ball as Oakland rushed for more than 200 yds.

Whats the Seattle game plan, max protect all day and run the ball as much as they can? This line is so fishy, I am not sure I can pull the trigger...

What do you think the line should be?Seattle at home is not the same team as on the road.Line is right where it should be.

Very deceving line, but honestly I had no problem pulling the tigger on this one ( -7 ). Charlie Whitehurst most likely will not make it out of the 1st half and I just can't see the giants not covering with a back up QB who's never had a starting snap in the NFL and with the giants and their Defense having an extra week to game plan. In my mind I think this one is a no brainier.

This is the equivalent to a Giants -13 line at home.&#xD;&#xA;What you are saying is that you could see the Giants -20 at home. This is not the early 90s Cincinnati Bengals, no team will ever be favored 20 points like that again.

Seattle is a tough place to play and hoem is good for 3-4 points there. Line tells you that if the Giants were at home it would Giants -13 to -14

After the watching the Giants in person in Dallas, I have concluded they are one of the most physically dominant teams in the game right now. The Seahawks are back home , but after the bye week, the Giants should roll. GIANTS -6.5..GOD help Seattle&#x27;s QB

Agree with the smart comments here....There&#x27;s no way the Gmen would be more than 2 TD favorites at home against Seattle....7.5 on the road equates to 13.5 at home.....Meanwhile, subjectively, Whitehurst isn&#x27;t bad at all......Good luck whatever you all decide.

Whitehurst isn&#x27;t that bad plus seattle at home and seattle now has a somewhat running game are all factors.  With that being said, I still think the line should be higher like -9 or -10.  I like the G-men here.

Giants have been terrible at Seattle in recent years. O&#x27;Hare (starting center) is out, which will make it difficult with the excessive crowd noise.
