Some random thoughts from a Bronco fan

2) Most football experts give the Broncos no chance, which is fine by me as I have seen many teams in the big game with "no chance" win outright.

3) The Broncos have watched the tape and are not scared at all on Defense.  They will as I have expected them to do, pack the box and play their great cover guys on the Panther WR and let this dictate the outcome of  the game. They expect to stop the Panthers run game and will sacrifice the ong pass to accomplish this.

4) Cam is struggling on the big stage. The kid is young and the press is getting to him with all the BS. There is no story about Peyton as he can answer all these questions in his sleep, there is a story about a black kid, who dresses to draw attention and has not lived in a city with many reporters dealing with this big of a stage. Does it translate to the game, really, I do not think so but it may. The Broncos are feeling like they are not respected and expected to lose. The Panthers are approaching this from a different point of view.

5) The first quarter will be huge. Peyton cannot be counted on to bring this team back (not impossible but definitely improbable) to me, if the Broncos are going to win, they must withstand the initial Panthers shock and awe. If we get a SB 48 start and are down 14-0 early, I will be pounding the $20 beers and heading for an early exit (again, see New York)

I am going to the game. Section 246 Club on the end. 2k a pop, I will be sitting next to my beautiful wife who is my avatar on Covers. Stop by and say Hi if you are there.

So, in 97 and 98 we were the best. Those teams had a quiet confidence all year that I knew we were going to and probably winning the SB. This team, I have not believed in at all this year. They keep winning ugly with key plays late in the game. It has happened all year starting with the most improbable come from behind against the Chefs.  This team, when the chips are down, has made the big plays. I think if they can get into that position again, they find a way to do it again. The big question to me, is can they keep it close enough to scare the Panthers and take away their confidence. 

Manning needs to stay clean

The O Line needs to make the appropriate reads on the blitz and block ( this one is very scary)

The ball needs to bounce their way (fumbles and the like)

Our DB's need to win the outside 1 on 1 battles.

They need to contain Cam and not go for the zone read, staying home on the back side.

They need some first downs to let the D rest, 3 and outs will be killer and this team has a lot of those.

Please Boys, just one more time.

That's quite a large checklist for Denver to pull this upset. Don't hold your breath. The 14-0 scenario you envision is unfortunately the most likely. Enjoy the beers.

Everyone says Denver has no chance...

 but this team has been through alot since their last Super Bowl loss. They have the blueprint and resolve of a Super Bowl calibur team. you have to go through trials and tribulations before you exerpience true success and i believe the broncos have for 4 long years been forged in that fire

Carolina played nobody all year and Denver had so much adversity and still managed to make it to the big game.

Vegas is in for a big payday with all the $ going to the Panthers.

Denver wins 24-20 and the UNDER 44.5 squeaks by.

So funny bout the weed.

Everyone from California thinks that all of Colorado people are stoned all the time . Needless to say, has not changed my life one bit. Getting ready for the game and about to catch the bus. Two things, one the NFL experience totally sucked. At least 50,000 people trying to do all the garbage and lines everywhere with $10 beers. Two hours of my life I can never get back. Two, bronco fans outnumber Panther fans here three or 4 to 1.  Two years ago in New York, it was a home game for the Seahawks as their fans totally brought the noise. I am hoping my fellow bronco fans can provide that today for the orange. Going to wear my signed Wreclenberg jersey, it is 3-0.

I will have my lucky hat in my pocket, just in case. It has been insanely lucky through the years but I do not want to wear it out if I don't need to. Go Broncos!
