I am confident in what I do and have no problem helping fellow covers posters out and the public in general. We are going up against the books, bookies and others. I get turned on when sportsbooks lose money and bookies have to pay out(it rarely happens) but when it does, I'm happy.
This will be Andy Dalton's coming out party. He's fully aware of the struggles he has had against this Steelers team throughout his career(2-4 record, 71 QB rating) but today will be different. How so you may ask?
Pittsburgh struggled last weekend at home against a Saints team who really had underachieved up until that point. You want to know why an underachieving team like the Saints had so much success? Because Pittsburgh's defense is one of the worst in the league. Just like those Chicago Bears, the Pittsburgh Steelers come equipped with one of the worst secondaries in the league. Not only that, they blow at stopping the run. Half the team is always hurt as well. To make matters worse, their veteran DE Brett Keisel will be out forcing rookie Stephon Tuitt to play more snaps. Yes, LB's Ryan Shazier and Jarvis Jones are returning today but how sharp are they really going to be especially Jones who hasn't played since Week 3? Odds are not sharp at all which hurts big time because another veteran LB on that defense WON'T be playing today in James Harrison. You can crack all the grandpa jokes you want about Harrison but this guy has experience Shazier and Jones just don't have. DT Steve McLendon probably will play but it remains to be seen how many snaps he can go as well.
The Bengals defensive front is in prime position today to man handle an average offensive line of Pittsburgh. Big Ben is in trouble today. He's down his RT Marcus Gilbert and in the game last weekend, he hit his THROWING hand on a Saints helmet. He wound up throwing 2 int's which could have been a lot more. Do you want to take your chances on somebody like this today? Really? Be my guest.
A loss would pretty much eliminate the Steelers from winning the AFC NORTH and you know Cincinnati has no problem playing their part. They are to big, to fast, to strong and much healthier than their opponent which is why they are the best bet today.
Bengals -3 EV

nice try with the writeup but half of that is just your opinion. Steelers defense is 16th against the pass and 10th against the run on the season. If that is one of the worst in the nfl then i guess its time to redefine "worst". Not saying the steelers defense is good, but your exaggerating a bit to fit your agenda. In addition, bengals defense is actually one of the worst against the run (ranking 25th) and they are going against a top rb in the league in Bell. They also don't have a great secondary. Steelers consistently play down to their competition and up to their competition. In my opinion, they come out and play today. GL anyways. Like the over more than a side.

Way to point out all of the Steelers problems. Didn't hear you say one bad thing about the Bengals. Bengals secondary is just as bad as the Steelers if not worst. I'll take Big Ben with a hurt hand over a healthy Andy Dalton. Both defenses are similar this year but the Steelers definitely have the advantage with their offense. Better QB, better RB. Here we go Steelers Here we go!

Bengals secondary isn't the best but it doesn't need to be with the type of defensive front they have. So many factors are involved which why you can't' base everything on just stats. There is such a thing as the eye test, something I'm pretty good at it and the Steelers don't pass it. You do know one of the better Bengal run stoppers in Rey Maualuga missed 4 games this season. He's healthy and dominant as he has ever been.
I don't have an agenda. Well I guess I do which is cashing bets but the facts remain the same, the Bengals are the best bet today because the Steelers just don't have what it takes. James Harrison being out and throwing a rookie out there who hasn't seen action in about a month is not a great recipe to have.

actually Bengals secondary IS the best in the league if you consider that they have more INTs than touchdowns allowed, top 5 in completion % against, top 5 in YPA, doing this while 30th in sacks.
Steelers pass D is 27th by my metrics. Cincy rolls and wins BIG today

Pittsburgh played well. Really well. I give credit where credit is due. Your team is BANGED UP and you still managed to beat the Bengals away from home in convincing fashion.
I'm not sleeping on the black and gold. Their offense is the real deal.
