Chargers vs Patriots——
One crucial point to make in this game, is one that the media has failed to talk about. Philip Rivers has lost his arm strength and looked pretty bad in this last stretch of the season. I think he is experiencing some major fatigue in that arm, who can blame him... not everyone can play until they’re 41 like Tom Brady. Patriots are outstanding at home, Philip is in a tough stretch, the Patriots should cover the -4 comfortably... I see them winning by a touchdown. Chargers have a great roster, but they were beaten up by a tough Baltimore team. I love what the chargers have done this season, I just think it’s a bad spot for them. Yes the Patriots aren’t what they once were but I think they’ll put together quite a performance tomorrow.
Rivers has passed for under 182 yards in 3/4 games to end the year, last week included. His TD to Int ratio is 3:6 in that span. Much respect, he put together a great season. He’s simply in a bad spot, he doesn’t have time to rest a fatigued arm. 18 weeks of football with only 1 bye week.
Eagles vs Saints:
The Eagles are such an intriguing team, so much fight in them. Foles is a big time QB and makes big throws in big games, he is truly a fantastic QB. They’ve got a great defensive line, and they are one of the best coached teams across the entire league. It’s too bad they get the Saints here, I really thought they matched up well with the Rams... they also beat the Rams in the regular season, tough sledding. The Saints are such a well balanced team, top to bottom. In my eyes, Trubisky is a very under achieving QB and he was able to exploit the weak spots in the eagles secondary last game especially late in the game... Drew Brees coming off a week off rest will have a great great performance. I think the saints are too much to handle, it’s tough to stop the run and the pass with the kind of secondary the Eagles have... a lack of depth. The reserves have played very well though, they aren’t to be taken lightly. I’d roll with the Saints moneyline to be safe, -8 is a lot in the playoffs. I would side with the -7.5 -8 if you really pressed me to make a decision on the spread.
Best of luck to everyone. Leave some comments, I’d love to hear about what you guys think about the matchups!
Btw.. I parlayed Rams -7, Patriots -4, and Saints moneyline.
