Been wagering for 25 years. It's always fun to estimate the line before I see it. I thought it should be -6/55. Very close to the actual number. Trust me, there will be plenty of two-way action on this Super Bowl. I can tell you one winner right now - Las Vegas.
Yesterday, won with the Colts ML, but lost on the Under.
Lost on the Vikings ML - heartbreaking!!!! - but hit on the Over.
First impression, get money on the Over (game). I know it's a very "public" play, but Manning & Brees......enough said. These two can combine for 28 points in a quarter and still leave time on the clock.

Like I said, this line is solid. People backing either team have valid points with this line. Personally, I think the public will find it VERY hard to walk away from taking Manning at -210 to win this game SU.

I don't find it hard at all to walk away from Manning at -210 as there is no chance I'd lay that kind of juice. I would sooner wager another day than to get in the habit of laying big time chalk.

Books have set this over/under at a total that even makes casual bettors look twice. No question, this number is over-inflated. At the end of the day, this game will turn into a score-fest. Early, middle, late, I am not sure. But this game is going over the total.
Also, I am playing the Saints on the ML. This will not be a popular selection, but I do believe many will fall into the Colts -210 trap as they watch the Saints win their first Super Bowl. Good luck to all.

OVER does look good here, Brees and Manning should light it up !
Remember the 2002 NE/RAMS Superbowl? The Rams were a 14 point favorite, and If I remember the O/U was 53.
I've read where a lot of you think this flies OVER, and it may. But if
the "Fastest show on turf" had a problem, and the Rams were a shoe in
that year, just make sure you leave room for this possibility.
St. Louis Rams New England Patriots
(NFC) (AFC)
17 20
1 2 3 4 Total
STL 3 0 0 14 17
NE 0 14 3 3 20

With a young Tom Brady in 2002, the Pats were looking to shorten the game against a heavily-favored Rams team & "the fastest show on turf." They certainly were not going to try to outscore the Rams.
This year's Super Bowl has two superior QBs with two very potent offensive squads, not one. That's a big difference from 2002's SB. Not to mention, both secondaries are suspect. Manning is the best QB in football and the Colts' running game sucks, while Brees & Co. scored the most points this season. True, the o/u line is inflated. I just think it will not matter in the end. I see this game reaching into the 60s at minimum.

Over/Under has hit 57 at some spots.........it's still too low. The Over in this game is the best on the board. The Saints ML would be #2. I have yet to talk to one person who thinks the Saints are going to win. Not one.
