On one side you have one of the most successfull quarterback-coach tandem in the history of the game, a pretty good defense and the experience because they've been there done that, playing good football after just dismantling the Colts on the championship game.
On the other side you have the Seahawks led by a young smart mobile qb, a mighty defense and an excellent motivator and coach in Pete Carroll after just squeaking by the Packers.
Now I know experience might go Bill and his boys but make no mistake, this Seahawks have been there and know what it takes to win.. I don't see any added pressure or advantage of any kind for that matter.
Now everybody talks about Belichick and the mentality he has brought to this team, they have earned their way to the superbowl and won against some of the best teams and defenses in the league but I truly believe this is just a bad matchup for them.
The difference in this game is going to be how defenses match up and edge goes hugely to the Seahawks.
The Patriots have a pretty good defense that relies on Revis taking the best receiver out of the game putting pressure with a better than average front to stop the run. But this of defense matches up well against pocket passers and teams that rely on a good QB-WR tandem but this is not the hawks style of play.. you can have Revis on any WR you want, it won't matter, they don't rely heavily on an star WR.. they rely on the ability of Wilson extending the play and Lynch getting some hard hitting downfield running.. that just almost erases their Revis advantage.. Sure Wilson looked awful against the Packers for most of the game but that was because Packers had 2 all star DE's who could run toe to toe with Wilson in Peppers and Matthews.. anybody noticed the difference it made for the Hawks when Matthews was on the sideline ? Patriots have a good d but nothing or nobody compared to Peppers or Matthews that can put that kind of pressure on Wilson.. sure they can blitz and send safetys but the closest they have on putting pressure is Ninkovich which I actually like a lot but this game is just a bad matchup for them.. with nobody to put that pressure on wilson, expect him to extend plays with his legs letting wide receivers get open and get some first down on the ground and all of this without even mentioning Lynch not allowing the Patriots blitz so much.. its just going to be hard for them..
Now I know the patriots have seen some pretty good defenses this year but they have not seen anything like the Seahawks.. yes they saw they Lions, but that secondary simply sucks, there is not even a comparison between them and the Hawks secondary.. This guys won't allow anything on the ground, letting them focus on Brady.. yes he is pretty good, and have some good receiver corps including Gronk still I have seen plenty times of the year when pressure and good coverage have made this offense look pedestrian.. lets not forget countless times I have seen Brady play scared after a good couple of hits, which he will surely get.. not running the ball, pressure on Brady and the Legion of Boom waiting for those passes.. can somebody spell disaster..
This is just a bad matchup for the Pats, now I'm sure this is not going to be a blow out like last year.. but a full 60 minutes of all of that I've mentioned and there is no way the Seahawks repeat, its just too much..
Throw deflate gate and all of that bs away and give props to a future coach and qb hall of famers but this is about new blood, this is the Seahawks time.. every good thing has its time (look at Manning) and there comes a time when something better replaces it.. this is it.. this is about the making of a new dinasty and the dawn of another one..
Seahawks+ the money..
