Super Bowl XLV Forecast

The Forecast went great on Sunday going 4-0 and hitting Green Bay at +600 to win the NFC Championship.  I have just finalized my Super Bowl plays for the big game.  I expected Green Bay to be a favorite regardless of who won the AFC championship last night, and already have GB at +160 to win the Super Bowl which was taken last week.  I just grabbed them at -2.5 as well, and I took the over at 45.5.  I think both offenses will have success moving the ball and believe that this game will have no problems going over the total.

Hey Floyd-

How do you feel about the line? I saw yesterday that you predicted it at 3 and I have to admit, I did also but the other way!

 I thought Pitt on their tradition and D and coming from the AFC would be favored.

I am still in a state of shock over the line. Where are you with it?

GL with the play, I was initally on Pitt but will lean GB I think as the game gets closer. The over is a solid play to me as well.

I thought it would be -2.5GB and probably close anywhere from 3-3.5 with the o/u 44-45.  Was surprised a little bit at the total dropping down to 44 so suddenly to be honest with you.  I just put a little more on o/44.  I might have a first half play on the over as well, but still looking a few more things over. Green Bay has turned into a media darling in some regards with the way they have performed this season while overcoming injuries to key players.  There will be a lot more people rooting for Green Bay to win this weekend than the Steelers across the country, even though their fan base is far stretched.  If Green Bay would have opened up +2.5-+3, I think we would have saw a ratio of 65/35 on that spread in favor of Green Bay.  From my point of view, I was highly disappointed being right on this line.  I would have loved to see Green Bay open up as dogs. I love Green Bay here and the over, and can't wait for the big game.    

I think we are seeing the final number start to shift to closing at Green Bay -3 and the total stabilizing at 44.5 across the board, so if you can get 44 and like the over, grab it now.  I would be shocked if anyone is taking action at 3.5 by kickoff.

I like your thinking. I'm not sure why everyone thinks this is going to be a defensive struggle. Both teams have high powered offenses and can outsmart the D over 4 quarters. These two teams can bring the number home....................

Oh and what about a couple of Defensive TD's from those great D's????

I agree with the over. That said there is reverse line movement to the under. Always a tricky propositon. These two teams in 2009 put up like 80 points at the Ketchup place. Take that for what it is worth.

I am really surprised to see this line keep moving. It may reach 3 by kickoff. There is no way it goes to 3.5 and everyone in the world is given a free middle. No way.

Appreciate it everyone.  Enjoy watching the game tonight whether it be at the sportsbook, at the comfort of your home, or a Super Bowl party with family and friends.  It should be a good game, best of luck on all your wagers. I think most books are pretty stable with where they are comfortable setting their final number/s, but will monitor things throughout the day.  I went much larger than normal for this game, in fact, personally this is the most I have wagered on any Super Bowl across the board. A lot of research went into these plays as well as the props, and all should be considered strong plays for the Forecast tonight.

It was a great way to end the NFL season.  I was happy with the outcome out tonight's game, and certainly happy that all my plays worked out in the Super Bowl Forecast. The props came up short, but were small and long shots.  Congratulations to Green Bay Packers fans on the board, they overcame a lot of adversity and are definitely deserving to being Super Bowl Champions.  Best of luck to everyone, I might play a little college ball, but I will be taking a break from everything for a little while, it's been an enjoyable NFL season here on Covers and I wish you all nothing but the best.

i took your goy play on the lions against the jets earlier this year even though all the haters were talking sh*t and bashing on it and now you drill the super bowl and pretty much guessed the score right on the money   great work floyd, hope you'll be back next year

I am looking forward to being back here next NFL season.  Hopefully things within the league get finalized soon, and we won't have a lockout to worry about next season.
