I have 6 entries to work with in a good pool. The first 3 weeks are crucial. There is usually 1 big upset. My hope for week 1 is to go with 2 teams that are very set to win. Who??

I don't see how Ravens don't win by DD's in week 1. The Texans have one of the worst rosters in the NFL. We have no idea what Demeco will be like as a HC. Lamar is healthy and motivated. Harbaugh with all the time in the world to prepare for this one. This game has 35-6 (maybe 13 with garbage time) written all over it.
Ravens the safest play imo, with Jags a great second option. Commanders would be a sneaky choice.

@jobinlatros
i dont feel jags are 2nd best option. I think they win but only a 4.5 road fav. I refuse road teams in this format unless i have to. Commanders 2nd best option to me. Vikings or seattle maybe 3rd best. But yes ravens are best choice.

Definitely prefer home teams in survivors..and sometimes avoid divisional matchups
Don't mind fading bad teams as opposed to picking winners....this year cards should be a disaster...Texans should struggle...colts could be really bad....

@dubz4dummyz
right so fading cards on road is kind of the logic for wash as opposed to jags in a divison road game vs colts. I do think jags win not saying that but im more nervous of that. That being said its prob 31-13 jags lol

Either Joshua Dobbs and Clayton Tune, but from what i've been hearing Tune may get the start.
Whoever is starting this may be one of the only times to take Washington this year.

In survivor pools the way to win is to “break away” from the pack.
yes Ravens seem like a lock but 2/3 of the pool or likely more will be on them. What does that accomplish if u have ravens ?
you simply cannot take the team everyone will be on.
if there is an upset, 2/3 of the pack will be gone.
plus ravens as a pick will be a strong pick in later weeks and you will have them available that week so again you’ve broken away from the pack

Commanders is becoming a popular pick since they have no future value and Zona is basically in shambles. Might be worth it to get some exposure on them, was thinking to save Baltimore and look into Jax and Seattle.

Gun to my head: Lets break it down out of boredom,,,,,,
Commies/Ravens/Seahawks
All home teams. Seahawks are only team playing a divisional opponent, but Kupp is not playing, and they are not deep, they are young. Stafford is an injury waiting to happen. I like Stafford, always have, and the year they won it all that team made me money the entire year either covering or as part of ML parlays, but this is not that team.
If Andrews doesn't play, the Ravens are still deep positionally enough to overcome it, Lamar has enough targets, Likely at TE is a sleeper player, and Bateman, Flowers, ODB at WR give him targets as well as a good 2 headed RB team Edwards and Dobbins who will be on pitch count probably but who knows. If the game gets out of hand they have no reason to run him 18 times.
Commies are a better team than we know in my humble opinion, Cards travelling across country, new QB, thin talent on roster, and their head coach says some strange shit, I think he may have already lost the locker room with that "How did you get to the office today" skit......Sam Howell is efficient, has legs, and has targets. Good RBs, 3 decent WRs, Logan Thomas at TE isn't bad at all, and the defense is solid with or without Chase Young.
Commies to me makes the most sense long term, when can you really target them again in a better situation? Look at their schedule,,,,,,the Rams down the road may be their best bet, they are probably gonna be in a lot of close games.
Baltimore on the other hand has Indy, the Cards, and the Rams coming up in the future.
Seattle has Rams twice, Cards twice, Carolina
This is also why I like to have 2/3 entries in these pools.
Commies would be my choice, IF I ONLY HAD 1 CHOICE.

Whatever you do. Don’t ever pick a team for multiple entries I don’t care how good and certain you are about a team. 1 team per entry. The quickest way to lose any survival pool is to load up on a team. Their chance of losing may be less but a loss still eliminates you.
