I think this is a bad spot for Minnesota. Short week on the road after suffering their 1st loss in a big game at home against division rival Lions. I could see them coming out flat and Darnold having a rough game.

Teams playing in their next game after the Lions are 0-4 ATS. Here are those games. 8 Sept Rams at Detroit 20-26 L 5.5 15 Sept Rams at Az 10-41 L +1 15 Sept TB at Detroit 16-20 W +7.5 22 Sept Denver at TB 7-26 L -6 22 Sept Lions at AZ 20-13 W -3 29 Sept Wash at AZ 14-42 L -4 30 Sept Seattle at Detroit 42-29 W -7 6 Oct NYG at Seattle 20-29 L -7 13 Oct at Dallas 47-9 W -3.5 20 Oct Dallas Bye 20 Oct Detroit at Minn 31-29 W +1 24 Oct Minn at LAR -3 Good luck, sd
Why is it 0-4 ATS? The Lions have played 6 teams including the Vikings. It’s missing the result for 1 game. Either 1-4 ATS or 0-5 ATS. Was there a bye week or something?

Last year the Vikings played the Lions in the last game of the season. I did not put down the results from last week. O'Connell has been Viking HC since 2022. I hope this makes sense. If the Rams cover tonight. O'Connell will be 0-4 ATS after playing the Lions.

This might be like the Niners a few years back. They would PUMMEL teams and follow week their opponents would limp into their next game and get stomped.

Both teams had a bye in week six. And 1st games back for Kupp and Nucua if they play after have been out for awhile. They both will need a couple games to get back into shape. Trends favor Rams. So Vikes it is, lol.

This trend is hard to figure.Reminds me of a better I knew in the 80's telling me in the 70's he blindly bet against any team that played the Raiders or Steelers the week before. He called it "free money and lots of it". His explanation was those teams win or lose the week before were punished so physically by those teams they just weren't themselves the next week. 50 years ago that was a great trend I guess.

If I had to make a play on this one, yes the Rams.
