During the playoffs, I often find myself betting a game that I probably wouldn't bet if it was a regular season game. This is because I feel that you are more likely to get a performance that is true to form in the playoffs. This is one of those games. I seldom lay over a touchdown in an NFL game, but I don't think the Texans match up well with the Ravens. The weakest aspect of the Ravens game is their run defense. The Texans lack the resources to exploit this. They have a weak running game. Their pass defense is also subpar. The Ravens have looked very impressive, especially in big games, against top notch opponents. The Ravens recent history in playoff games is not good. (1-4 since 2018, 1-3 with Jackson at QB) Lamar Jackson and the Ravens will look to make a bold statement here. Jackson is a more mature, and experienced QB now. He knows he can't do it all by himself, nor does he need to. They will cover 9.5 with room to spare.
I've got a lot of respect for the Texans. CJ Stroud had one of the best rookie seasons that a QB has ever had, but this is where it ends. The Texans have a weak rushing game. They also have a weak pass defense. The Ravens allow 5.1 YPPA which is #1 in the NFL. The fact that the Texans scored 40 points on the Browns doesn't mean they can do that again. The Browns defense that's supposed to be so great is the 32nd ranked Scoring Defense in road games. The Ravens are not the Browns. Reality check for the Texans. The Ravens have crushed teams that are better than this. Ravens by 20 points.

Nice. Cause I have the ravens at even money to win AFC. Also the browns def. didn't give up all those points. 14 on 2 ints. I thought for sure u would be on the +9.5 like everyone else. It all comes down to l. Jackson not turning the ball over. If he doesn't easy win. If he does it will be close for sure. I do think Houston will score 17pts

Does it worry you that the Ravens have been sitting around for a while and the Texans are really clicking? Houston seems to be really fired up by the coach and the fact that they will be underdogs all through the playoffs. This team is scary. And I don’t think there’s even a tiny bit of doubt in the locker room that they can’t beat the Ravens or anyone else on the way to a Super Bowl. This is a true nothing to lose attitude. Dangerous.

I wouldn't say I'm worried about it. Concerned, maybe. It can be good or bad. They also get a chance to have injuries heal, and more time to prepare for a specific opponent. The fact that the Ravens have had a few bad recent playoff games will serve to keep them focused, I'm hoping. HOU is a good team, and I like Stroud a lot, but their poor rushing game likely spells trouble. The Ravens impressed me greatly with their level of play vs SF, MIA, and DET. They seem to really be dialed in when they're facing quality opponents. Good luck.

I totally agree. All Cleveland's weaknesses which I stupidly overlooked (well, not overlooked but decided to hope they didn't occur) came to pass, the defense disappeared on the road again, the giveaways were there (they had the most).
Let's see can the Texans win the turnover battle now vs the team with the most takeaways and sacks. There won't be any 1 play TDs. They will have to stop the run and this team also has the most mobile QB there is instead of a 40 year old statue.
The Ravens are going to smash the Texans and Stroud is going to suddenly look very much like a rookie.

Texans vs Ravens If I remember correctly Lamar Jackson had 2 interceptions and a fumble but Texans couldn't get points from the turnovers. Remember this was week 1 (CJ's first NFL start)
