The best (LOL) small-school QBs in NFL history

The LOL is because many of these were not exactly superstars.  Unlisted Jack Kemp played at Occidental.

Doug Kezirian is the Daily Wager host and he has no confidence in Trey Lance of North Dakota State.  He knows infinitely more about football than I do, but I say 30 TDs and only 1 INT means TL makes more good decisions than bad ones, and he can function under pressure.

That doesn't mean that I'll take SF over the 9.5 RSW line.  I just say it might be too early to write off TL.  I certainly don't have any opinion on SF's QB coach because I don't even know his name.

Kenny Anderson (Cincinnati Bengals) played for a tiny college, Augustana College enrollment 2,500, just to throw another name out there...as for Lance we'll have to see...

I don't know if Joe Flacco (Delaware) counts as "one of the best," but he did win the 2012 Super Bowl.

 I think the problem with TL was his horrible inaccuracy last year. His throws had minimal arc, and were sometimes missing by a few yards. 
Closer inspection suggests that:

- he was operating on a limited playbook designed to avoid INTs. Many of those misses were short or out of bounds.

- his finger injury last year impacted his throws a bunch

- some combo of both of the above, and add in the jitters

I am no fan of the Niners but I am an opportunistic bettor. I will be watching TL closely to see what’s up. It is very possible he drastically improves this year.
